• (2017-11-27) Madison Allmon: I've been playing this game since ~2010, and it's only gotten worse in recent years (after they closed up the main saga). It's extremely fun up until you finish the (1st) main story, the 13 Lords of Chaos- after that there's not much to keep one playing, except for the one-in-a-million well-written side stories like the Seraph saga or the Dawn of the Devs releases. Unless you're die-hard multiplayer or /need/ to have a bunch of different armors, I'd suggest AE's older games. Dragonfable is the only one still going strong story-wise, but it's AMAZING in all regards.

• (2016-09-30) BTD3 Fan: Advanced combat, entertaining and funny, not pay to win but purchases are great, new stories every week, now making AQ3, 5 years and still greatly fun. thousands of armours, weapons, helmets, capes and pets. hundreds of classes w/ multi classing PvP, many things to do, character customization etc :)

No downloads, and very very far from a pay to win format, Adventure Quest Worlds (or AQWorlds to its fans) has countless hours of content completely for free. Of course, becoming a paid member AKA a Legend has many benefits as well. The developers, Artix Entertainment releases new content every single week and has been doing so for over 5 years. AQWorlds is a 2D mmo that plays directly in your browser as long as you have flash player. TL;DR AQWorlds is a 2D f2p mmo that is really fun and has a good community, tons of content and gets new content all the time, check it out if you are a fan of fun games!
