RPN Calculator
Description from store

RPN Calculator is a simple yet powerful calculator that uses Reverse Polish Notation as the basis of its operation (in RPN, every operator follows all of its operands). You have the choice of using the keyboard or the UI buttons for input (touch screen capable where supported).

NOTE: For those looking for a regular calculator, this calculator works differently! To use an RPN calculator to add 2 and 3 together, you enter '2' then the 'ENTER' key then '3' and finally '+' to get your answer (whereas in a regular calculator you enter '2' then '+' then '3' then '='). Thus, there is *NO* equals key ("=") as it is never needed (for more see http://bit.ly/1gVaSq4).

The screenshot image shows the basic and scientific operators currently available; these include plus, minus, multiply, divide, square root, square, y^x, sin, cosine, tangent, natural logarithm and pi.

This app runs offline; i.e., the Chrome browser does not have to be running for the app to run, nor is a connection to the internet required.

Note: Also available as a Chrome "packaged app" (seamlessly integrates into your ChromeBook or desktop environment and can also be invoked from the desktop menu and/or from a desktop icon (like a standalone app)) - the "packaged app" version will be available as soon as the Chrome Web Store allows.

Not working.

Pretty good. But hard to use via touchscreen on a Chromebook Flip, which has a 10½" screen. The buttons are way too small on such a small screen. It would also be nice if I didn't have to resize the window after opening the app because the window border obscures the calculator border and some of the buttons.

basic and unadorned. the size of the numbers could be larger

Does not work anymore. It says: "Your license of RPN Calculator has expired!" (obsolete) It is now O.K.: 4 stars

I love RPN so this is perfect.

I got the pop up window, but I couldn't enter any numbers into the window. Sorry, the error must be on my side, but I couldn't get it to work at all.

OK, but lots of room for improvement.

needs scientific notation

Thought it was and would have liked it as an extension, but looks good and works as advertised. Edit: Now only shows "Your license of RPN Calculator has expired!" :( Edit: Works again! Maybe a temporary issue

I might have liked it, if it worked. Apparently, my license has expired before I even finished downloading it.

I don't know? Never got to use it !

It's not free... When you are trying to open it, you're getting an error message mentionning the expiration of your license... Uninstall!

Sorry, I like RPN, but this app is sad to say no good on my Lenovo Yoga when using touch screen. With the mouse and keyboard it would have been a 4 or 5.

Very nice free RPN calculator.

Nice little effort. Previous commentor is correct. Needs stack manipulation commands (swap, drop, rot). Also needs feedback for each key pressed (enter being a big one). Main drawback as with most computer calculators (and spreadsheets). Uses floating point instead of BCD: Just try "1.52 enter 1 -" ..fake works for zero answer as they do a rounding. Please.. a calculator should be able to do simple sums.

Not working well. Can't delete no.'s after they are entered without quitting the app. The enter key is in an awkward place. Not recommended.

Any body that has ever used a RPN calculater knows that they are a great tool. They cut down on keystrokes and simplfy long equations.Thank you, Neil MacInnes.
