- (2024-10-05) Suraj Goala: This is a long-term review of the linguistic extension "LinguaVoice" that is available on the Chrome web store, keeping it a bit precise. I will start with the pros and then follow the limitations, which can be updated in the later versions of the tool. Pros : 1. The translation of languages is spot-on with multiple languages on the list. 2. The conversion of the written text into a .pdf format is another worthwhile addition. 3. The linking of Wikipedia and the dictionary is apt for researching new vocabulary and helpful in small phrases. 4. The voice assistant is a great companion while opting for precise pronunciations. 5. The text extraction from the image is, again, a good addition, helping get precise text from hand-written notes. 6. The song lyrics finder is a good thought though. Cons : 1. The linking of ChatGPT could have been better if the text had been directly processed as input for the queries. 2. While most of the languages can be obtained in .pdf format but few of the language conversions don't get saved in the same format. 3. The GUI could be better and more intuitive. The developer has really processed many objectives into a same page, thus, its a good extension, preferably to be used by the scientific and language community. Though it would get better with coming versions of the extension. Best wishes.
