Scraper by Data-Miner.io gets data out of web pages and into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or CSV file formats. Table capture or Scraper data from any website such as Zoominfo.cm or Data.com or emails addresses. How it works? Data Miner uses Xpath and JQuery Seclector to identify the information in the HTML web page. Then it scrapes that information and presents it to you in form of a table which you can download as CSV file. It supports UTF-* so double by characters like Chinese, Japanese, Russian, etc are correctly scraped.

You don't need to be an Xpath genius because Data Miner has community generated data extraction rules for common websites. But if you want to do advance scraping it helps to know the basics of xpath and CSS and JQuery select, regular expression (regex) adn debugging with chrome inspector or webstorm.

With Data Miner it takes 1 click to get data from many common websites. So it is even faster than using Scraper or Kimono

Derek Ambrosio 2017-08-29: The extension was easy to use and worked well but they held my data hostage for expensive subscription fees. It's not worth the money at all for what they are offering. I might reconsider with a better price point or different free version that isn't useless.

I know that predictive tools the likes of SAS Enterprise Miner are the way to go, but in the world that is coming, UNDERSTANDING of the data being collected is more important than being able to predict events with black boxes. This tool makes it very easy to evaluate quantitatively several dimension of data that is in the form of text, and create lists at a very low cost. All in all, a great tool, I hope we see more features soon, such as sentiment analysis, categorical data analysis, etc.

Noah Buckley 2016-03-28: I've used Data Miner to scrape thousands of pages in order to collect data for my PhD in political science. There are lots of scrapers out there, but this one is nice and simple, streamlined, powerful enough, and did exactly what I needed without crazy bells and whistles. I would recommend it for academics with low-impact needs for a solid scraper and parser when other options get messy.
