YouTube Transcript Extractor

YouTube Transcript Extractor is a Chrome extension that lets you easily copy video transcripts without cluttering your YouTube interface. The extension works through a simple popup, keeping the familiar YouTube layout intact.

Important Note: This extension can only extract transcripts that are already embedded in YouTube videos. If a video doesn't have captions or transcripts provided by the creator or YouTube, the extension cannot generate them.

How to use:
1. Go to a YouTube video
2. Click the extension icon
3. Press "Extract Transcript"
4. Use "Copy to Clipboard" to copy

For YouTube Shorts, use "Open in Full Player" first.

Transcript Availability:
- Works with videos that have embedded captions/transcripts
- Cannot extract transcripts from videos without captions
- Cannot generate transcripts for videos that don't already have them
- Check if a video has captions by looking for the "CC" button in YouTube's player
