- (2021-02-02) Dawid Sz: I trusted you because of the professional UI. You won with VLC (4mb vs ~ 110mb) only if you seriously designed the music player for Chrome OS, let us know that the volume bar is on the right, let us move the minimized player a few px higher or left. Edit i managed to change positions. You have 10/10 On the lock screen the plug can no see normally, no app / plug name, no song name, no have skip buttons.
- (2019-07-28) Per Aday: It's so close to being really good that I can't understand why seemingly obvious functions are missing: 1) no check for duplicates. Especially given... 2) I can't see how to remove any items (I guess only by moving the file and rescan?) 3) no way at all to edit "unknown" albums, wrong name as artist, etc. 4) no way to sort songs, albums, etc? 5) no EQ or info about how to apply one (on a tab is easy, but on an app I've no idea offhand) Everything in the app though is very well done. It could easily be the best by far with a little work though.
- (2019-01-21) Gabriel Ambriz: I absolutely love this player, I use it all the time, it's simply the best. The ascetic design of this app is amazing and far surpasses anything I've use previously.
- (2018-11-13) Gabriel Ambriz: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING completely recommend. I like to listen to mp3 and m4a format music files on my chrome book and this is by far the best way to do it. Plenty of useful features and a gorgeously designed GUI. I mean seriously, it is an absolutely beautiful design haha. And its free! The only problems (they're really really small trust me): 1). The automatic ordering of the songs seems a little funky, and there's no way to change the order or sort by date, title, etc... 2). The compact view has no skip buttons, but that's fine cause it i rarely use compact view. 3). Playlist creation is very non-intuitive (you either go song by song, or add groups to your que and then make the que it's own playlist) <- this one isn't a problem for me but I see how some people might find it weird. 4). Can't change album art I mean feel free to ignore tho, it's already a beautiful piece of freeware.
- (2018-08-30) Jesus Vedasto Olazo: The best and the most nicest player I have ever used. I love the album cover on the background. i just hope this is not a dead app because the last update is in 2016. A possible update might be a color chooser to be able to have a wide variety of color scheme and a maximize button though I am not complaining with the current interface. Anyway thank you.
- (2018-06-20) Winston Chang: Why did Salmon Player list the songs on my album out of order?
- (2018-05-18) Leon Tubrok: It needs to open the standard files manager so that you can add files from networked folders (using filesystem for windows app for eg.) rather than just open downloads folder or cloud
- (2018-05-08) Shariar Rahman: supports flac including tags in flac. Can create queues and/or playlists. No issues so far. will report later
- (2018-03-12) Nik Schürmann: Awesome UI with a great UX! This is probably the best material design desktop app i've ever seen! Thumbs up an 5 stars fa sure!
- (2017-12-03) Ranko Kuljanin: Design is awesome, but when adding directory with large amount of mp3 files (1200+ files), it hangs and crashes.
- (2017-11-27) S.J. Gokey-Hartsfield: FINALLY, a lightweight, beautiful local music player for Chrome OS! Thank you thank you thank you! If it had customizable themes, player controls on compact mode, and the ability to sort song titles alphabetically, it would be PERFECT.
- (2017-09-12) Andrew Brooks: The best music player I've found on Chromebook yet. I still think it could use some extra/newer features but other than that I can say I used it for pretty much a 12 hour drive on my way to North Carolina - offline and it didn't crash or have a single problem and played all my downloaded mp3 files instantly .
- (2017-09-01) fresh clean: [ this is my 1st impression ] - is FREE as free-bear, - loaded external USB music OK, - created couple of lists from loaded songs, - PLAYLIST creation is not intuitive [ very bad way to do it !!! ], so fare it is OK [ good ], my other more elaborate views [ rating ] will be posted in couple of days,
- (2017-06-19) Kyle Masa: The best, but still quite unstable and unexpected behavior is noticeable when using compact mode, which I can't be bothered to use anyway!
- (2017-04-11) Quinn Sheng: So beautiful!
- (2017-03-11) Mohamed Salem Baira: My hat down for the creators of this !
- (2017-02-26) The Vu: Simply amazing!
- (2017-01-15) Todd: do i just smash my computer to remove this nonfunctional app or will it just remain as a perpetual annoyance?
- (2016-12-18) Muhammad Umair: Amazing player I found something (next or previous soung button icons) missing while playing player it in minimized mode.
- (2016-11-28) Ani _9114: Excellent!!! 😀😁 I Love It!! A tip: when opening the application would be good that the reproduction queue is like the last time, please do that would make me very happy :) I did this with:Google Translate :)
- (2016-11-14) Felu Mittir: crashing every time when i am scanning my music library... player is awesome but can´t use!
- (2016-10-28) Amir Heshmati: Awesome... loving it. it's beautiful.. but I wish it was easier to create playlist based on folder structure. plus keyboard shortcuts .. I mean it impossible for me to use any software for a long time if there are no keyboard shortcut
- (2016-10-15) Fernanda UH: it kinda sucks because for example if you enter your dropbox account and then add music to that account then try to play it, it doesn´t play, i added about 30 tracks, uninstalled the app and then reinstalled the app and still you can´t play it!
- (2016-09-25) Reza Zarchi: Google Ending Support for Chrome Apps Last month, Google announced plans to sunset Chrome apps over the next 18 months. So what will you do with this awesome Player??
- (2016-09-21) Mark Thomas: Wow. Makes chromeOS even more friendly to use.
- (2016-08-06) Rin E: how can I listen to music if it won't let me!>:(
- (2016-07-17) Arman Niño: Equalizer please :(
- (2016-07-08) David Spinrad: DEFINITELY THE BEST MUSIC PLAYER ON CHROME0S
- (2016-06-30) Jonathan Christensen: I actually smiled when I started to use this app. The material design is gorgeous. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone. The only things that I would like to see is the ability to change album artwork/ID3 editor and a minimize button.
- (2016-06-27) geeky dhaval: Nice UI , Bring this to android.
- (2016-06-22) Stephanie Ji: This is the best music app I have tried on Chrome OS, and I love the design. However, there are a few problems. When connected to my Google Drive library, it fails to recognize album artwork and the fact I have the same song in Drive and my library. Overall, I would also like to see Chromecast support for this app in the future. More importantly, music files like m4a and flac should also be supported.
- (2016-06-22) Jonathan Roberts: Really beautiful and really love it. I would love to see this as an actual application on my Android phone. I use Google Play Music with hopes that it will be changed into something like this, but I don't see that happening, so I would LOVE IT if this was on my phone to replace the ugly Google Play Music app.
- (2016-06-17) AverageDood: Needs to be on Android. Definitely.
- (2016-06-15) Tianyu Li: perfect!
- (2016-06-10) Didr Sa: Material Design is beautiful! I love it. Now it support cloud music.
- (2016-06-09) Ryan Zulueta: I really like it. Good Design! But please, what's with the new icon? It does not fit the material design concept.
- (2016-05-16) Xuan Do: Great App
- (2016-05-05) Webserveis: This is not Material Design 100% I recomended usage framework7
- (2016-05-04) Narek Gharibyan: Nice and smooth app. Thanks guys !!
- (2016-05-04) Jeff Le: Nice & smooth
- (2016-05-02) Abhishek Kale: Good app. Previous update had some problems. But this one works nice.
- (2016-05-01) Zak Oz: Apparently, this app does not work with Chromebooks or Chromeboxes without crashing.
- (2016-03-15) ahmad hisamuddin: nice and simple ui
- (2016-03-13) Benjamin: This app is gorgeous! Freaking love the clean style, already going to start using this as my default music player. Definitely a few quirks to iron out - making/editing playlists is a bit unintuitive and sometimes searches for songs return no results. But so cool, can't wait for future development of this app!
- (2016-03-09) Levi Melamed: One of the nicest looking apps in the store.
- (2016-02-28) Jonathan: Add FLAC support.
- (2016-02-21) Lukas G: Simple and nice designed player. Needs the android version, definitely!
- (2016-02-16) Taron Mehrabyan: The new version will be released soon!
