Testimonials ---------- "Readlang is probably my top resource now for learning new languages. Whenever I don't feel like studying properly, I can just read an article in a foreign language and enjoy it, without having to worry about looking up words that I don't understand. It makes reading in a foreign language a much quicker and more enjoyable experience!" - Alex Rawlings, Teacher, Polyglot, and Britain's most multilingual student (http://rawlangs.com/about/) "Readlang is one of the best language learning tools I’ve ever used. It is especially good for helping you get past the beginner levels of a language and into the intermediate and advanced stages." - Ron, Language Surfer (www.languagesurfer.com) "It is difficult to give something that is so young a five star rating, but this is already one of the best sites (along with stuff like Anki, Memrise, "X"Pod, Duolingo, LingQ, etc.) around for this and it is only getting better." - Joseph Heavner, Quora (https://www.quora.com/Reviews-of-Readlang-language-learning-website)

  • (2021-10-02) Paige McLean: I want to rate this higher, but the pop-up function no longer works. From what I can tell looking at the code errors that Chrome provides, something changes with the https and pop-ups are no longer allowed on the browser, even if you change the security setting to allow it pop-ups as suggested. I have tried in multiple browsers, and I receive the same error. It's pretty inconvenient to have to open a new window every time you look up a word and ruins the flow.
  • (2016-07-27) matt oglesby: Your security permissions are asking if it can read my email contacts when I install. No thanks!
  • (2016-04-07) Andrew Breidenbach: I was running out of motivation going from beginner to intermediate. I found this at the perfect time! For other resources 1) Use Duolingo until you're about level 10 2) Find a wordlist like on Memrise or Anki. Learn the top 1,500 most common words. 3) This thing!!! Context is super important and this is a great way for late beginners to get it.
  • (2016-01-27) M M: Very limited support for the language I'm learning (Japanese).
  • (2015-11-13) Stergios Mimidakis: excellent!
  • (2015-10-14) Didn't load, so I have no idea if it's any good if you can see it. I was excited to try it, but no luck. Needs update. - Win10
  • (2015-10-01) Niamaat: This is an excellent tool for intermediate and advanced language learners. I particularly like the private and public texts, as well as the user ability to modify definitions in his/her word list and flashcard sections. I use ReadLang for French and Spanish input and flashcard review. However, although I am an avid language learner myself, I use this marvelous tool most often in my English teaching/English coaching activities. My clients love it, and so do I. I work with clients one-on-one for the most part via internet, and for the most part, only 2 hours per week. There are 168 hours in a week. My clients must engage in a meaningful way with English outside of our sessions to make any significant progress. Engagement through reading public texts on ReadLang, or public texts elsewhere on internet, is a fantastic way to increase the time spent engaging with English
  • (2015-04-08) Philip Seifi: I speak 7 languages and I've used most of the language learning tools available so it doesn't happen very often that I discover something new that I'm genuinely impressed by. Readlang is one of those times! It's well designed, has just enough features, and is incredibly effective.
