From school to your office, Skrifa is the word processor for everyone.
With a minimal, distraction free, simple and yet powerful interface, it's focused on what you really care, your content. It is so versatile that you'll have no problem using it for any scenario, as a power user or just as a simple quick note taking app.
From text styling to videos and images, and there are also features for more specific things like writing code, math and data tables.
Your notes and notebooks are saved locally on your computer, they are never uploaded anywhere so you can be sure your information is safe with you and ready to use even offline. Some settings data is saved to your Google Account.
You can also create backups of your all your data and save it wherever you want so if anything happens you'll always have a way to restore everything.
You can import your Markdown notes to Skrifa and export Skrifa notes to Markdown or HTML as well!

- (2020-11-25) Robert De Sena: I cannot fathom how much coding went into making such an app (look at the fricking file size, 29 mb is huge for just css, html, json, and js). Good job. I like the UI and the import/export features.
- (2018-09-30) I'm fighting a frickin rock: Love this app. I kind of wish I could adjust the font size, or that the night mode was darker, and an improvement to the formatting issues would be cool, but other than those minor complaints, which are mainly preferential, this is an awesome app.

- (2017-08-22) Ell: A really great minimal text editor. Import/export would be really great, for me, but since I work in Microsoft Word (Online) when I have internet, I usually just copy/paste it over and remove Skrifa's formatting (which doesn't copy/paste well into forum wordboxes). I'd give 5/5 if the formatting issues via copy/paste weren't there, it's a bit of a hassle to copy/paste > Microsoft Word > reformat > copy/paste > forum. Other than that - this is great for writers who (like me) bought a Chromebook for writing (primarily), not realizing that Chromebooks are so minimal in terms of what can and cannot be done on them.
- (2017-06-14) Daniel C: Great effort so far, my only gripe would be the side-panel shadow (Main theme) I found it distracting. Looking forward to more features.
- (2017-02-03) Barbora Matthaei: Scrifa is now not working. I have no idea what happened. Having notes there, but not it only writes: Your file was not found It may have been moved or deleted. ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND How to save my notes from there and make it run again?
