  • (2025-03-03) Caden Nguyen: 3 stars because of concerns and the other reason. While it's a good or bad extension (vary by people) and provides the reason, the reason for 3 stars is that you can make noises from this app. For some reason, students are actually making noises from this app, even if GoGuardian or a platform that can block websites and disable computers the software of that blocks the whole computer, they can still access it which that app is a failure. Also, this is important to fix as it also works offline. Offline is important but it is important for it to be fixed. Also, I saw some students making it as a noise such as making car noises, even during tests. Also, the next thing is that there are certain bug fixes that need to be fixed such as long loading times and a few other bugs and haven't gotten an update since 2021. There is a another reason why I rated 3 stars. There are a limited number of languages. For example, if someone is speaking Greek (a language spoken in Greece) and there is no option named "Greek" or "Ελληνικά", this makes the usage harder and forces somebody speaking Greek to translate stuff or just learn English. It's the same problem with many languages

  • (2024-01-30) Google Administrator: Title: "A Disappointing Experience with WeDo 2.0 LEGO Education" I recently purchased the WeDo 2.0 LEGO Education set, and I must say it has been a thoroughly disappointing experience. From the outset, the promises of an engaging and educational product fell flat, leaving me with regret and frustration. First and foremost, the software that comes with WeDo 2.0 is clunky and unintuitive. Navigating through the interface feels like a chore, and the limited functionality makes it difficult to create meaningful and enjoyable projects. The lack of user-friendly features severely hampers the supposed educational benefits of the set. The assembly process, which should be an enjoyable and educational aspect of any LEGO product, turned into a nightmare with WeDo 2.0. The instructions provided were unclear, and some crucial steps were missing. As a result, my child and I spent more time deciphering the manual than actually building and learning. Moreover, the connectivity issues with the Bluetooth interface were a constant source of frustration. We often found ourselves unable to establish a stable connection between the devices, rendering the entire set useless. It's incredibly disheartening to invest time and money into a product that consistently fails to deliver on its basic promises. The educational value of WeDo 2.0 is also questionable. While LEGO Education touts the set as a tool for teaching STEM concepts, the limited range of projects and the lack of depth in the learning materials make it fall short of providing a comprehensive educational experience. There are far better alternatives on the market that offer a more enriching learning environment for children interested in science and technology. In conclusion, I would strongly advise against purchasing the WeDo 2.0 LEGO Education set. The frustrating software, unclear instructions, connectivity issues, and lack of educational depth make this product a regrettable investment. Save yourself the disappointment and explore other options that truly deliver on their promises.

  • (2019-10-30) Alex Loera: Horrible app...never really works and basically wasted hundreds of dollars on a set that I cannot use without the app. Terrible do not purchase the set or download the app.
  • (2019-08-25) codeAtorium Student: Normally this software is terrible. It takes forever to load. The interface is terrible. The programming language doesn't have conditionals. But a couple of weeks ago, it just stopped loading. I've uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. It just sits on a white screen. On six different computers, so it seems like it's a problem in the software. Calling support, I guess...
  • (2019-03-10) Too unfortunate that Japanese translation is not supported.
  • (2018-07-01) Santiago Buigues: Fantastic app. I have it on my tablet (Android) and Chromebook and have used for a couple of years in my classes (robotics workshops). I like the new revamp they have done to the app with even simpler starting models.
  • (2017-04-07) Owen Crossman: it doesn't work and it only lets me close the app! :(
  • (2016-12-01) Thomas Moore: Not sure if the app was recently updated but, I installed it and was programming with the WeDo 2.0 kit in under 5 minutes.
  • (2016-10-27) Bo Bryant: Doesn't load or install. This product is not working very well at all. Very frustrating and disappointing.
