- (2020-09-06) David Hobbs: \ Think globally some say but invest locally even 1.49.Thx for the help and memories.
- (2019-03-13) Bryan B: Worked really well for a long time but lately it has been having problems. It seems to need to connect to a site that can't be reached. It seems like it might have been hosted at appspot but was perhaps removed. https://subtitlevideoplayer.appspot.com/static/ChromeOsSubtitle/src
- (2018-05-03) Robbie Smith: No audio when streaming large files. App crashes.

- (2016-09-03) Asim Ali: Super Awesome app with high functionality..... Does the job superbly! The ONLY downside is inability to play wmv and flv files (i use videostream for that).Otherwise it is perfect! I will delete videostream away if this app starts supporting flv and wmv :) But i still use this one for all other files because of its simple yet efficient interface
- (2016-08-05) Vishakha Purohit: AMAZING
- (2016-07-28) Squalle: Lame. This isn't needed to cast to a Chromecast. Anyone can use a tab to "cast my screen" and put in on the tv. Yeah, like that would be worth the watch. And this isn't an extension, it's an app. And It's just a link to their site. If you go to your google apps (chrome://apps/) you'll see it there and you can remove it from chrome.
- (2016-07-23) Alex Oren: Does not accept local subs. All subs need to exist on opensubtitles.org site . except that a good combination of Chromecast and SRT functionalities
- (2016-06-19) Martti Huttunen: Out of the 5 or 6 of alternatives for chromecast video players I've tried this is the only one that actually worked.
- (2016-06-16) Henrique Stabile: Works great, very simple! I only thought it lacks some more basic subtitle setups like positioning and colours. All the rest is great!
- (2016-06-11) Paul Suquet: Would not play audio.

- (2016-04-18) Kilt Joy: I have no need for the subtitle stuff. Streaming local wifi to ChromeCast, working smooth.
- (2016-04-17) Jason Doyle: One of the worst out there, cant play ANY .mov file, could not handle a 58MB mov file, Dont bother

- (2015-12-25) Stavros Oldjohn: Please change that ugly icon.. Use png format. The app works great but Chromecast Audio is not supported.
- (2015-12-12) Pontus Andersson: No sound
- (2015-10-29) Ella Bobella: Can't figure out how to load .srt file. It supposedly searches opensubtitles.org for the file and loads it automatically. I was able to find the file on opensubtitles.org and download it, but there appears to be no way to load it. Search feature in app fails despite file being hosted on site.
- (2015-10-26) James Kinahan: a ery usefull app
- (2015-10-19) Brian Ching: Playlist would be a great feature waiting to be added
- (2015-10-16) Stefan Badescu: Fast and good.
- (2015-10-16) Matan Yehoshua: Hello, The app works very well with Chromecast. one issue, the RTL subtitles (hebrew/arabic) didn't show correctly, for example: http://i.imgur.com/laJUKYy.png Please, if you can, try to fix this issue, here is example file of subtitle: http://dl.opensubtitles.org/en/download/sub/6341160
- (2015-09-27) - PST: For me this app is working very well. Sometimes the captions must be sync with the tool on the bottom right of the screen (CC).
- (2015-09-25) E Gk: It's nice if you need subtitles but would be great if you could add drag and drop of video and subtitles both.
- (2015-09-16) Plays and casts well with the exception of limited codecs so no audio on many current video files. One would expect a .mkv file to play with audio but it might not... Not interested in converting existing formats just to use this player. Expecting users to do so is weak. If this issue was fixed it'd be a 4 star rating at least. Instead I'm getting rid of it in favor of something else.
- (2015-09-13) Stephen Simon: Doesn't play the video file in full screen and I couldn't get sound to work at all.
- (2015-09-09) Marc Sweet: meh
- (2015-08-19) Horace Fields: Plays mp4's and you can also load a .srt subtitle file. I'm on an old Samsung chromebook and the playback is still smooth.
- (2015-07-18) on Samsung Chromebox ChromeOS and crashes everytime I play a movie.
- (2015-06-19) Alexandre Rodrigues Xavier: I would much rather the app called VideoStream
- (2015-06-03) Pieter Heemeryck: I felt compelled to write that I think its an amazing extension. I played .mkv extensions without problems and could choose between donwloading subtitles or use my own. All worked great ! This was exactly what I was looking for since I bought my Chromecast :)
- (2015-05-05) David Clark: I was sitting around wondering if an app like this existed, and it does. You are awesome.
