Description from store Runs in Chrome (>= 36) and Firefox (>= 35). = Warning = This app is experimental and may crash, especially if the project is over 45min or users over 300MB of memory. For many projects, this may suffice, but avoid using this tool for high-stakes projects. The unfortunate reality is that browsers (notably Chrome) do not provide substantial memory to store audio data. = Features = - Change the speeds of audio sections. Unfortunately, pitch is changed in the process. - Edit multiple tracks. Mute and solo. Alter volume and pan. - Move, duplicate, split, and delete sections of audio. - Create custom fade ins and outs with volume envelopes. - Undo and redo. - Control master volume. - Apply effects like filters and dynamic compression to tracks and/or master. - Drag to re-order or move effects across tracks and/or master. - Zoom. - Record through your microphone. - Render collective audio of the project to a track. - Import audio files of various formats. - Snap sections of audio to a grid based on time or 4/4 time signature. - Edit while playing for near-instant feedback. - Works on Desktop and mobile Chrome + Firefox. - Store projects in Drive or as local project files. - Export to 16-bit WAV or 128-bit MP3. - Manage memory. (2023-01-01) Jo: Here's the thing: I LOVED this in-browser server. It was simple and easy for me to use because I have a chromebook as my primary work laptop. WELL, they removed the entire thing. The app is gone. The browser is gone. Just gone. I was secretely wishing it would come back but this app has been dead as of Nov 2022 and frankly needs to be removed entirely rather than keeping the page up.

(2021-11-18) kira Perez: When the app worked it was amazing. Once it started freezing and crashing that's when everything changed. I could no longer upload and edit for a podcast. Now I can't even get into the app without a 500 server error code.

(2021-01-06) Lindsay Conn: DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS!! I rough edited an hour of podcast in this. I clicked "save as WAV" - nothing downloads. "Save as MP3" - nothing downloads. It did save to my Google Drive but either Google blocks the access (if trying to open from the app) or there's an error message in the app saying the file is corrupt if I try to open it from Google Drive. It says to contact them to recover but there is no way to contact them. So now I've lost 3 hours worth of work. Which is a shame, because it's super simple to actually use.

(2020-01-09) David Akulian: Awesome app! Thank you! I edited my old recordings. Dynamic compressor and reverb worked great for me. Enough effects and functions for a simple online app if you don't want to buy a professional software.

(2019-09-01) E Thompson: I used this to clean up a 13-minute audio file of a lecture, and it worked immensely well for someone with almost no audio editing experience. Once I was satisfied with how much better it was, I selected "Manage Memory" and removed the undos, to prevent any crashes like I read about in the comments. This may not work for everyone! For what I needed, a quick way to clean up a file enough so I could take notes from it, it was great.

(2019-05-18) Ross Mc Carthy: Doesn't work anymore. I've been trying for weeks to play mp3s on google drive, and it hasn't worked for ages. Also there is no way to alter tempo. (So everytime i try to speed up a voice track, it's sounds like alvin and the chimpmunks)

(2019-04-04) Maggie Langloh: The only reason I gave this 1 star was so I could tell you how much I HATE it. I was recording a school assignment when beautiful audio editor crashed. I had redo the whole thing and it crashed again. And again, and again. Deleting ALL of my work. Do not use this app. I Hate it. I cannot make it any clearer.
(2019-03-29) I am having the same problem, only more so... I cannot same anything anywhere (Drive or Local) and when I try to save to Drive, it says that Google has not approved this app to log into drive. Also, after 1 or 2 attempts, it crashes and you loose all your work. I gave it 2 stars because I liked it other than not being able to save anything.

(2018-05-11) Exemplar Graphic Arts: Okay, for the past few years, the app served it's purpose, but today it was acting a little strange. The play button was working, so the music wouldn't start. Downloading the app seemed to fix the problem, but I was able to use the app fine for years without downloading it. ????? Idk if anyone else is having the same problem or if it's just me.

(2017-12-03) Andrew Dawson (Drew): Very simple and versatile for a free online app. The rendering and exporting to wav/mp3 is slow going and you may find some artifacts with the mp3 files but other than that this app is very useful. While it may seem limiting to experienced users, this is pretty much the only program I could find that is online and completely free for multi track editing and it is great for simple projects.

(2017-11-08) Philip Richey: I cannot move multiple "sections" at once. This program gets tedious when you cut out mistakes and you have to move dozens of individual sections.
(2017-10-23) Parris Lucas: I been unable to download either WAV or MP3 file. I also been unable to save it to google drive. I been only able to save locally using the Beautiful Audio Editor proprietary format. The website contact us section provides now way to contact the owners.
