Makes non-pastable fields pastable.
PasteMaster 3000 is an open-source Chrome extension designed to enhance your web browsing experience by allowing pasting into form fields that normally restrict it. With this extension, you can easily paste text into input fields that have been set to prevent pasting. Commonly affected form fields might include routing numbers, accounts numbers, passwords or driver's license numbers. The extension will remember your pasting preference per webpage URL so that the functionality will persist when you revisit or reload the webpage. If you wish to disable the ability to paste and restore default form functionality, simply toggle the Enable Pasting option and reload the page.
Preventing pasting on form fields has the potential to introduce human error while making data entry more difficult and frustrating. While it may be intended to enhance site security or prevent web crawler automations, it can be circumvented with ease and is not a full-proof approach to addressing either of these two issues.
This extension is minimal and focused solely on correcting this UX issue on a page-by-page basis. No user data data or form data is collected in any way. The project is open-source so the extension files are transparently available on GitHub.
