bugfix for chromebook.
Chrome App Project Source : https://github.com/mbotx/chrome-mbot-app
On the ScratchX website, you can play with Experimental Extensions to Scratch. Because these extensions are experimental and not enforsed or supported by the Scratch Team, they are available only on the ScratchX site, not the main Scratch site. -- Scratchx.org

- (2018-10-29) PACER STC: Will not connect to mbot. The app does not actually do anything. When opened, none of the buttons respond. My mbot is paired with my chromebook, but the app shows nothing.
- (2018-03-12) Ash Whipple: There is a trick to connecting the mbots. 1.Make sure you have google chrome open 2. Open your bluetooth preferences 3.Turn on your mbot 4. Two new options should show up. One will be Makeblock_LE followed by an IP address DO NOT click that one! The second will be Phone followed by an IP address, this will switch to MakeBlock after a moment, pick that one. (I went through this step with all 20 of our Mbots before hand and wrote the last four characters of the IP address on the corresponding mbot to make them easier for the students to connect to) 5. You will get a popup with a code asking you to confirm that it is the same number on your connected device, just accept it. Sometimes it will say it failed but usually it is still connected. 6. Then open this Chrome extension and pick the Makebot with the same address as the one you connected to before. 7. Click "connect" next to it then once it switches to "disconnect" go to the bottom then open scratch X So these instructions have worked for pairing our mbots 100% of the time; however, as of today when I open ScratchX the extension isn't there.

- (2017-05-23) William Chandler: I have a classroom set of chromebooks. I bought 15 bluetooth mbots. I send the students out into the hall far away from eachother so that the chromebooks can only detect the mbot they are holding. Connecting to a chromebook using this app works only 20% of the time. Sometimes even the brilliant students who were able to figure out how to connect several days in a row, on another day it won't connect. It is weird. I even followed the video on youtube showing how you connect with the bluetooth on the chromebook first and then connect using the app, and then start scratchx. I knew I could let students use phones as a backup, but not all of the students have one. I also have been teaching Scratch to the students. So the makeblock programming on their phones is not what they are used to, and they are more limited, and their phone screens are small, so they can't see large sections of the coding at once. The good news is that the phones connect and disconnect extremely well and I can tell the students to disconnect and let someone else try their own program from their phone on the mbot. I was expecting a better connection. Now I have $1500 of mbots that can't be programmed to do all that I wanted to do with them. I hope one day they update this app to connect better. It would be cool if they printed a small code on the bluetooth chip, and that was entered during the bluetooth connection.
