Description from store Tired of political posts flooding your Reddit feed? The Reddit Political Post Blocker (RPPB) is here to help! This extension filters out political posts, allowing you to enjoy a politics-free browsing experience on Reddit. With comprehensive keyword filtering, RPPB automatically blocks posts containing political keywords to keep your feed clean. It supports both old and new Reddit, seamlessly filtering posts on both platforms. The extension also displays the subreddit name for blocked posts, giving you more context. If you choose to view a blocked post, the "Open Post" button makes it easy. Experience Reddit the way you want—free from unwanted political content. Please note that due to the limitations of filtering by keywords, some posts may still not be filtered, and the addon cannot detect context in images. 1.1.1 Update (February 2025) -Updated Keywords: Refined list to include recent political terms.

  • (2025-05-04) Austin Weaver: Cool idea, but the way it is now without an option to choose your keywords it's borderline unusable. It has an absurdly high false positive rate for posts that have nothing to do with politics. Multiple times I have seen posts that don't have any keywords even remotely related to politics be blocked.
  • (2025-03-08) Dave: Awesome! Needs some tinkering, like maybe a button that reveals the blocked content on the page in case you're curious without actually opening it in your browser, or maybe even a "open post in new window" feature or something so that clicking on "open post" doesn't just take you away from your main page like it does now. Other than that, very good! Reddit needs more extensions like this.
  • (2025-02-07) Karel Koutny: Works really well, I wish there were some customization options such as hiding the posts completely, and adding your own keywords to remove other content as well.
  • (2024-11-07) Josh Champion: Came looking for this after election day. Seems to work well. Thanks!
