- I installed this so I can summarize the web pages I am viewing by pulling this out. However, there is no option to easily summarize the web page. This is just a wrapper app where you can independently use gemini in a side bar with no connection to the web page you are actually browsing on that same tab. If there is such an option, would love to be enlightened. Otherwise, this is not useful enough for me.

- Gemini doesnt open instantly on the side-panel. Takes the same amount of time as opening Gemini in a new-tab. Defeats the whole purpose.

- I like being able to communicate with Gemini on my web browser. Would it be possible to be able to have the option to move the panel to the left side instead of permanently affixed to the right? As someone who uses two monitors at home, I typically use Chrome on my right and it's a real eye-strainer to have to look to my utmost right to communicate with Gemini. A suggestion to allow for comfortable preference, but otherwise very handy.

- Great extension! Thank you :) A wish - could you please set the cursor focus to be on the input box automatically? Meaning that when one presses Alt-G to bring the side panel, it'll be ready for typing inside the "Ask Gemini" field. Also, it'd be cool if the icon of the side panel's title would change too, per the user choice in the extension's options :) Thanks again!

- Hey, works best if you have a paid Gemini Advanced account. I like to use Gemini Pro 2.5, "she" remembers me. It seems Gemini can't see the darn page you are on though. That's the big downside. Hey, devs, make Gemini page aware. I am actually trying to do this myself by using the Chrome Dev windows. I think ' I'll do it, I am going to ask Gemini Pro 2.5 how I can tweak his own extension, so I can repurpose it! Ahhh..the age we live in!

- Very good app. I have one suggestion, I create Gems to summary content for me so I usually copy text from web page and then paste to the Gemini Sidebar. Instead of ctrl+c ctrl+v, It would be better if I can hilight text in web page and then right click and choose "Ask Gemini side bar".

- Great app! One suggestion would be when I hit the hotkey to open the Gemini Sidebar it would be nice if I could just type right away rather than having to click in the text box.

- Request function: You can customize the icon on the left sidebar "Side Panel for Gemini" text at the top of the sidebar, just like other icons next to the address bar.

- HOW TO FIX MIC ππ Right-click on the extension icon: π±οΈ This action opens the extension's context menu. Click "Manage extensions": βοΈ This takes you to the browser's extension management page. Scroll down and click "Site settings" (or similar): π This section controls permissions for the extension on specific websites. Enable microphone and set it to "Allow": π€ β This grants the extension permission to use your microphone.

- This has increased my my Gemini testing a great amount. There was a bug the other day and I hit up orlie with the twitter link at the bottom and he got it fixed right away!

- I am a little concerned about what data this extension collects from a privacy standpoint. If that could be explained a bit better I might use it. My thoughts is that it can track my browser search history, all sessions with Gemini, and possibly every of byte of date sent to my browser. It seems like a great tool, but I am reluctant to use it until these questions are answered. I am giving it one star until I find an answer to these important questions, if I start using it I will rate it objectively.

- Unsurprisingly, "Side Panel for Gemini" is an extension that enables a chrome side panel for Gemini. It's snappy to open (don't forget to set a keybinding) and isn't a RAM hog. π
