- (2022-09-10) Rōpata Frittmann (Augur): I am now into my second year of the paid "Awesome" version of Coggle. Being that I'm on the autism spectrum, I find mind mapping to be a useful tool in many aspects of my life and work. I have used several mind map solutions over the years, including FreeMind and MindMiester. While Coggle may not have all the features of other offerings, I prefer it these days over any other mind map solution, for its simplicity. I'm surprised at some of the other reviews here which complain about how complex, un-intuitive, and difficult it is to use. I found Coggle to be very intuitive and easy to use. My only complaint is that the nodes of the joining lines can be difficult to select sometimes, especially when they are layered on top of each other. Setting the colours by a hex code or dropper/picker would also be an improvement over the current method, which often see me generating a range of child branches just to get the colour that I want, then deleting the rest. Beyond that, I expect to continue using Coggle "Awesome" into the future, and I look forward to any new features that get added to it.
- (2021-01-21) nick serifin: Free version is unusable due to constatly having to close pop-ups asking for you to upgrade to paid version. honestly so annoying I've given up on learning it and their chances of coverting me into a paying customer is now zero. Look elsewhere.
- (2020-07-10) Polly Giardina: I find this app cumbersome because of the key shortcuts. It is time consuming to navigate around trying to remember keystrokes.
- (2020-03-12) Mark Kennedy: Seems like it would be fantastic, but it seems every three things I try to do, I am informed that I need to pay for the "Awesome" version to what I was trying to do. Showing me a demo of what I could do every time I accidentally try to do something I can't do with the free version is very frustrating. I would much rather have a limited but fully functioning free version, with a trial to test out the "Awesome" version without recruiting users or paying right away. After about 20 minutes of trying to create a mind map, it drove me crazy with all the pop-ups, I and removed immediately. Potential is very high, but you are scaring away customers with these tactics imho. I hope you take this as constructive criticism. Thanks. I'll try again in the future if such changes are made.
- (2019-10-16) Оксана Брянцева: nice
- (2019-02-06) Daniel Dalton: im 15 and I need this to study. would give it a 5 but I don't need to have to pay
- (2018-09-26) Sabri Bayoudh: very limited without paying
- (2018-07-28) Hildre Talke: Very useful tool, quick and easy to generate.
- (2018-05-14) Tevye Rohl: hard to use, always trying to get your money. Motivates you to leave the site and just actually go and study
- (2018-05-09) Chris Mitchell: I currently use the paid version of Mindmeister but am looking for alternatives. Apparently, Coggle integrates "seamlessly" with Google Drive. That would be great, but I can't find out HOW it does this after creating my first map. A Google search brings up nothing, and the "support" page (which it says I should look at if I have any questions) doesn't address it, and there's no obvious way to email the developers. The "We suggest you contact the developer" link above doesn't do anything apart from take you to a website that doesn't let you contact anyone. Pity - it might be a good app, but without any useful supporting documentation it's unusable. I'm happy to pay for a good product, but not one that has no support available.
- (2018-04-17) Stylianos Gregoriou: As an intensive mindmapper myself, I would recommend everybody interested in this app spending sometime reading tips from "bloggle", before moving on creating complicated mindmaps. IMHO this actually the best mindmap app in the market on the grounds of functionality and style. There's room for improvement certainly, but it has already great features. And don't forget please, the secret for a useful mindmap is a simply-and-well-structured mindmap.
- (2018-02-13) Jennifer Bannink: Just purchased the full year after trying Coggle out for a month - via recommendation from a colleague. I have always been a mind mapper, but have, until recently - kicked it old school with the old sketchpad. Laying out technical docs and maintenance procedures can be a bit tedious, and often my best ideas are on the fly. Now, I can drop a few branches when the thought comes to me, at work or at home. And, as a huge bonus - I can share these with the team so they know where I am at on a project! (And seriously, $50 for a year is a pretty awesome deal for something that I will be using daily. I spend much more than this on my monthly caffeine consumption.) Thanks, Coggle! You ROCK! ;)
- (2018-02-11) Oscar Guzman: I didn't like the watermark. Sorry :)
- (2017-12-17) Asher Rose: Not free. With what you can do with basic on all these apps, I'll stick to paper and markers...
- (2017-12-06) Xavier Hripko: complicated for absolutely nothing
- (2017-12-05) Aatmn Parmar: Quite helpful
- (2017-11-21) ForsakenMadMan: Good but it asked me to pay minutes after using. So no.
- (2017-10-19) finetsky: Very basic and for more immediately asks for purchase. I didn't even started creating my maps yet.
- (2017-10-18) Kaitlyn M.: I can do everything I want and need to in the free version, making a fishbone diagram for RCCA (root cause corrective action) investigation. Thanks Coggle!
- (2017-09-20) Marcos Castro: Not really free. Overall good but lacks lots of basic stuff even for a demo like app. If you want REAL free app, go with freemind.
- (2017-09-15) David DeSmet: Really lame.
- (2017-08-25) John Calebcristo Kim (Calebcristo): easy, extensive and best of all, its free! Thanks Coggle for making my life so simple :)
- (2017-08-17) Hrvoje Habjanec: I love it. Easy with good learning curve. Nice design too.
- (2017-07-24) 羅書韻: great!
- (2017-06-26) Alan Ting: easy to use.
- (2017-05-10) Bruno Canella: Basic features, as basic colors are locked to premium users...
- (2017-04-25) Hannes von Essen: It supports LaTeX to produce math expressions!! For example \\( \pi = 3.14159... \\) or \\[ \int_{-\infty}^{x} e^{\frac{-(t-\mu)^2}{2 \sigma^2}} \mathrm{d}t \\]
- (2017-04-19) Alex Goico: So far the only thing holding me back from seeking other alternatives is not being able to attach file attachments to the nodes, aside from that everything else is great.
- (2017-03-17) Jens Winkler: Love it....its great for a free version
- (2017-02-23) Daniel Petratsch: Sometimes extremely unintuitive and fuzzy although tey are claiming to be intuitive. Theres still a lot of UI-improvement necessary to use this tool in production but the basic idea is great.
- (2017-02-02) Vincent Look: The best mind map software I've ever used. The best!
- (2016-11-27) Anders Kristian Andersen: When creating documents they are associated to the root of google drive. That is confusing. The team behind Coggle is very responsive. I like the easy way to create mind maps. It is a little confusing that there comes so many link to upgrade to a paid version. I think it would be nice not to see these links in the learning process. After using the plugin again - I need to go down to two stars. It is so difficult to understand where the mindmaps are. Sometimes it makes glink-files - sometimes not. I got no clue why it is designed this way, lots of other plugins follow google:drive. I managed to get mindmaps into a google directory (I thought) - and started to be positive for the plugin, but no - I have to give up again. It seems to be made a way I at least don't understand. (Maybe other uses do, but NOT me) - Right now I find the plugin waste of time. I see that an upgrade vill cost USD 5/ month. I find this is out of range for such a product. It will be USD 60 / year. This almost the same as IntelliJ costs. So I find this price fully out of range. (Just try to compare the products ... And I don't think that it IntelliJ that is too cheap)
- (2016-11-03) Rudo Lilleleht: Like it!
- (2016-10-09) Ralph Wie: absolutely loved it
- (2016-09-26) Neville Clark: advertised as free but the price of free is all your work after the first is public... or five dollars a month. will go for a free tool with no catches freemind or similar. great potential tho
- (2016-09-15) Isabella Ballesteros: Not easy to use, doesn't work well in windows computers specially with touch screen.
- (2016-09-10) Denny Soewarno: good
- (2016-08-05) Grant Menefee: right click on mac is not working half the time -- i'm getting the regular OS context menu instead. also, you should really make that menu left click enabled instead of right click.
- (2016-08-04) Nikos Georgosopoulos: Just a couple more features for the greater public and it would be perfect
- (2016-07-26) Sareth Metzler: Somewhat erratically arranges the branches, having to "shift+tab - tab" to insert a child to the same parent is annoying, everything is public. No, thank you.
- (2016-07-15) Bev Johnson: I am trying to use more comples programs and find this easiest as a first step in getting organised. So easy to use.
- (2016-07-11) Rosei Espedido: Not enough free features to be used in a classroom setting
- (2016-07-03) pepe perez: "simple" hard to use interface, broken drag& drop image feature, i need merging branches, but that's a paid feature, it works just fine, but im searching for something better.
- (2016-06-30) ziu Joeng Lau: I need Offline
- (2016-05-24) Ron Robertson: Client abuse crap. Months of work and investments being held hostage by secret, no value added, addition of pricing to free. Was willing to try to make app work with limitation. Now have to start over somewhere else. Don't support businesses that abuse their clients.
- (2016-04-25) Mike6411: cuz pootis
- (2016-04-22) Andre Edmond: Like what the actual crap bro.Using this for school and it's such a pain to use. I would give 0 stars if I could.Plus you have to pay for the extra features. Also I couldn't put any memes on it so I hope pepe watches you sleep with spicy memes.
- (2016-03-28) This software had enabled me to create lucid mind-maps on the fly, whenever there is Internet access.
- (2016-03-23) Ethan Buntario: What a beautiful Application!
- (2016-03-23) E: Now you have to pay, otherwise all your ideas and diagrams are public! It must be a recent change.. feels like bait-and-switch.
