Dewey is a Chrome app for tagging, searching and sorting your Chrome bookmarks.

How Dewey Works
Tagging:
Dewey treats folders in your Chrome Bookmark Manager as tags. To edit those you'll need to go to your Bookmark Manager. (Mac – Opt+Cmd+B) (Windows – Ctrl+Shift+B)
If you’d like Dewey to ignore Chrome’s top-level folders (i.e., Bookmarks Bar, Other Bookmarks and Mobile Bookmarks) click the Settings icon in the top right corner and check the “Hide top-level folders” box.
Search & Sort:
There are several ways to search your bookmarks with Dewey:
A standard search returns anything with that word in the Tag, Title or URL.
Add tag: before a word to limit results that have that specific tag applied.
Add title: before a word to limit results to titles that contain that word.
Add url: before a word to limit results to URLs that contain that word.
Sort your bookmarks and your search results by Date, Title, or URL
Clicking a tag on a bookmark will run search of that tag
Navigating
Use the Left/Right/Tab keyboard keys to navigate through the grid of bookmarks.
When one of you bookmarks is highlighted, hit enter to visit the link.
Editing
Clicking the Title of a bookmark opens the edit window.
Within the edit window you can edit the Title, URL and custom tags
You can also delete a bookmark from Chrome.

BUT: I'm realizing that there is a huge privacy issue: all favicons and screenshots are loaded from the Dewey website with clear-text urls, which means that they are gathering all your bookmark info guys, I recommend blocking any traffic to their website if you want to protect your privacy.

If i could improve one thing it would be to create a fuzzy autocomplete when adding tags to existing links. In that way particularly for links with multiple tags i wouldn't have to go over them and check for spelling.

- (2017-02-26) Leon Calcutt: I love this app its NEARLY what I need, I wish I could give it 5 stars but there are some simple features that are missing that I think would make it great. 1. You need to be able to pin favourites, something simple like that would be awesome. I use it as my new tab app and I want to have my most visited sites first on screen for quick reference. 2. Remember the sort type selected. I select 'Title' and when I reopen the app it reverts to the default 'Date'. These are simple features that I think would take this app to next level. Hope the devs hear me out :)

- (2016-09-17) Angelo Cork: I like the idea of browsing my bookmarks in a clean, tiled layout. There is definitely something missing and I believe that is the ability to manage tags. Once you create them, where do they do? Someone else asked this. All in all, it refreshes the appearance of Chrome bookmarks. Now, if it could actually replace the bookmarks interface that would be awesome! Edit: Google just stole the trophy. I've switched over to "Bookmark Manager" which is built on Material Design and does what Dewey Bookmarks tries to accomplish plus more.

I'd also like to be able to move bookmarks around, although if the tagging feature works well, there will be no need to use folders.

I had that error when trying to access files on my Amazon AWS S3 Bucket and changing the sharing privileges fixed it.
