• (2012-09-24) Roger Smith: Blackout Rugby is the perfect app for Chrome both are awesome. I have tried other management simulation games and Blackout Rugby is by far the best. Perhaps its biggest plus over other simulation games, is that it is still totally playable as a Free member.

So here's the facts, this is not only the best Rugby management simulation but also the best sports management simulation game available. BR is not just for rugby fans but for anyone who enjoys soccer management & other sport management sims. Finally my one caveat, Say goodbye to your spare time and don't be surprised to find yourself spending you Saturday afternoon making excuses to stay in just to watch your league games live due to the superb match engine.
• (2012-09-22) Conor Donovan: I think it's probably extremely difficult to simulate rugby in an online game. But BR does this very effectively. BR is very realistic, very in-depth and ultimately extremely fun. Added to the great gameplay, there is a very strong and vibrant community involved in the game. If you love rugby, you will certainly enjoy every minute of BR!

Play as little or as much as you'd like, and you are rewarded by one of the richest, most in depth simulation games found anywhere on the internet. It's not a stretch to imagine this game being played on a console or the like as a single player mode, it's that good.

The game is all about who can set the best tactics before a game to lead their team to victory and building the strongest team platform. • (2012-09-22) Blackout Rugby is indeed an addictive game, and can be played at all times of day and night on a great variety of computers and mobile devices. As a manager it somehow gives structure to my week as I know that I have a league game on Saturdays, junior league on Sundays, friendlies on Mondays and Thursdays, cup games on Wednesdays etc. It can be pretty busy, but a little and often is my policy, making tweaks to training and game strategy on a daily basis. It is very satisfying when things go well, and there are major self-inquests when they don't. (!) As for this app on Chrome, it does seem a good deal faster than the regular access through other internet browsers, and that is in itself a blessing. I expect I will be using Chrome more in future thanks to this app. Go Ruckingham Ruckers Kyushu (RRK)!!

• (2012-09-22) Greg G: This is the best sports management simulation game on the internet, without a doubt. Even if you don't love Rugby, or know anything about it, it's worth looking into. It's highly addictive and you can learn something about Rugby just reading the documentation. Spend 15 minutes a couple times a week, or hours per day (like I do), the pace is perfect for simulations. I can't wait for the official linking tools, so I can start another club.

However there are very good managers who will be helpful enough to assist newbies and help them enjoy this game. I have played this game for many years and i absolutely recommend Blackout Rugby to anyone.

You're in control of how many hours you want to put into this game. Very poor effort. @ Peter Lawless – Well it’s a shame you and google consider a link an app. In the good old days links were called links. Sorry for being behind the times. Judging by the posts on the BR Facebook page, I am not the only one…..so not really worthy of a hall of fame. Where BR went wrong was by hyping this with a teaser (that just gave a lot of us false hopes), and then not explaining in their release post that this is simply a small benefit to members who use Chrome, but that it would benefit the community by increasing the exposure of BR. If they did that I would have arrived here in full knowledge and given a more positive review (though still disappointed). If I can save a few existing users the time spent downloading chrome and creating an account here when they get nothing new from it…then my apparently ignorant post was worth it.

This is an amazing management-style game that really is top of it's class not only with rugby games, but management games in general. The developers constantly are improving the game with input from the community, and the community itself, are welcoming, and very helpful. I definitely recommend this game to any and all rugby fans. However, this application itself is just a bookmark, and not an application in itself.
• (2012-09-21) Alex: Almost all of the reviews so far seem to be about the website itself rather than the App. The website provides an excellent rugby management simulation and is a must for anyone who likes any type of sports management games. This App though is completely useless as it doesn't do anything that a simple bookmark already does. All good chrome apps give access to some functionality of the website, normally via an icon that goes alongside the address bar. All this does is take you to the website. If they made the app allow you to see how many pending messages you have or allows you to go directly to your team information or something of that nature which is user specific then I could see its value. Right now the App has no value.
