- (2022-10-25) Kimberly Evans: If anyone doesn't know how to change permission to your Google Drive and uninstall app, go to "manage your google account" setting on your chrome browser (click on your profile image on the top right corner of the page). Then click on "Security>(Scroll down to 'Singing into other sites')>Signing in with Google>Anyfile Notepad" then from there, you should be able to stop the app from accessing your Google account and Google Drive. Then go to your Google Drive in your Google Account on Chrome Browser (there should be a column of apps listed, such as "Calendar" "Keep" "Tasks" etc.., under your profile picture on the right side of the page.) Click on the Plus Sign that will show "get add-ons" as you hover your mouse over the Icon. It should then direct you to "Google Workspace Marketplace". Click on "Settings>Manage Apps>The two buttons on top right of the Anyfile Notepad Icon>Uninstall. Viola! I hope this helped many that did not know what to do to uninstall the app :)
- (2021-04-21) Cris Perdue: In spite of the numerous _very_ negative reviews, this app works fine and appears to have ongoing support. It does need extensive permissions to access your Drive, which certainly could be a factor in deciding whether to use it. Do check out the author's website and FAQ.

- (2021-03-28) James Cook: no way to uninstall or cancel!!!!?!?!?!??!?!
- (2020-02-25) RL Bear: Submitted an Abuse complaint to Google because this extension asked me for permission to access my drive and i granted it to them, but when all was said and done, it wasn't even on my extension list and i have no way to remove the permission. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS

- (2020-02-15) Laurie Coffel: I wish I could figure out how to delete this from my Drive. It was the recommended app to open a Microsoft Publisher file and it can't open it, and now, I can't figure out how to disconnect this app from my life.
- (2019-11-26) Theoren Moore: Never loads any of my files and takes a long time to open up. I just want to delete it
- (2019-11-09) Crystal Osborne: I didn't like anything about it.
- (2019-11-07) Joe Neri: It's useless for anything more than simple text files. Who needs it?
- (2019-11-03) manjit Singh: nice
- (2019-10-31) rubi mazaki: Too many authorization requests ...
- (2019-10-09) Abhilash V R: I love this app! It supports vim, which is incredible. It has some occasional issues like being slow to load or losing some edits, but the app is constantly improving and is certainly the best one for editing files on Google Drive.
- (2019-10-06) Mason K: I used to use this all the time, but now its not updated, so it's useless after google's OAuth system was updated. I rate this a "POOP".
- (2019-10-02) romoney5: why would you say it can delete all of your files
- (2019-09-24) Aaron Greenhill: Did not work, frequently says I am not authorized. Maybe a Google Drive issue but I can't tell.
- (2019-09-21) Divine Fung: The point of using Notepad instead of Word is that it is lighter-weight and is faster to launch. This app, on the contrary, takes an average of 20-30 seconds to load even a simple file. Not sure if this is because I am located in the far east and that the server is in NA. I think the speed is not acceptable for regular use.
- (2019-09-10) Michael Litty: The first time I used this, it failed to save. I connected the app, created a new document, typed out the content, and clicked Save. The app spit out an error, said it couldn't save, and crashed. When I looked in the folder, the .txt file was gone.
- (2019-09-08) SAMARA PERPETUAL FERNANDES: Terrible App!!!!
- (2019-06-30) Raghda Hassan Elesawy: app hangs out while saving edits that results corrupted files with added special characters randomly in your file. I lost important edits due to these issues. Not recommended
- (2019-06-24) Pier Bezuhoff: VERY slow, no syntax highlighting
- (2019-06-18) diskons: jooooss
- (2019-06-03) staff3 atopco: very handy and friendly use
- (2019-04-05) Lennard Kowalik (Len): It opened a black screen with a white rectangle saying Starting up application _____________________________________________________ Hang tight... I "hung tight" for at least 5 minutes. Nothing happened, so I didn't hang around any longer. Closed and uninstalled it. The strange thing was that it appeared in the "Open with" list before, while, and after it was installed, whether it was in my apps or not.
- (2019-01-17) Michał Smith: very slow startup
- (2019-01-07) There are several negative reviews from people who simply don't understand how to use and/or disconnect the app. As far as I'm concerned, though, this app is hands down the best text & code editor that I've seen in Drive apps so far, edging out Editey because of its far greater language support. Almost everything about it can be customized to your liking, and I haven't yet seen it destroy or corrupt any files that it wasn't supposed to open. The only real downsides are the ads and the mandatory 5-second wait while they advertise the premium version, but it's ultimately so inconsequential to my workflow that I don't particularly care if they need to support themselves with ads.
- (2018-10-12) Susan: This app is difficult to uninstall; it essentially takes over your Google account. BEWARE!!!
