Description from store
AaRead is a reading helper for your eyes and brain. It makes some letters extra bold to make reading fast and keep effort low. This is a free alternative to Bionic Reading and Open Dyslexic font, and is great for folks with ADHD, dyslexia, or anyone whose brain gets bored easily when reading.
AaRead helps you stay focused on what you’re reading, and it’s way easier on your eyes too! Wanna try it on your favorite website? Simply click the extension icon or use the quick shortcut (Ctrl/Cmd + 0), and reading Reddit, Twitter, your study materials, news, or anything else should feel much better :)
My goal is to make this extension awesome for everyone, so please share your ideas or just let me know how much you love it (if you do, of course...).
Enjoy your reading! :)

- (2025-06-14) tair chamiel: Great. Just wish it would work on my pdf too
- (2025-03-13) Dylan Sacco: Great Web App. This has really increased my focus while reading. It seems really well programmed and easy to use. No pay walls, or annoying popups. The web app may not work on some sights, but is not something that can be worked around easily, and if you are a commoner, you prolly wont encounter it. Developer responds very fast to email. I got a response in like 2 hours of sending mail.
- (2025-02-24) Hisoka: I tested this and it seems to work well but when I click "ON" it applies to Bionic reading to every tab i have opened. there should be an option to apply it to every tab or for a specific tab, if that makes sense
- (2025-02-05) Sacco Huo: Incredibly useful extension, thanks. Could you add support to make it only valid for specify language? I don't want the extension valid for East Asian languages.
- (2025-01-15) kila suelika: How about adding an option of "auto enable"? I find everytime I open a new window, I have to click the extension icon which is boring.
- (2025-01-10) new eks: Thanks for the plugin! It's been really helpful. However, I've noticed it doesn't seem to work on some websites, like GitHub and ChatGPT. I get a "DIED" message below the plugin icon. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
- (2024-12-31) Yurii Hudzovskiy: I'm blown away!!!! Props to the dev!!!
- (2024-11-18) Jazmine Baldizar: Love it!!! I've always had a hard time reading out loud because I get the words mixed up and I was so thrilled to find out about bionic reading! This helps so much
- (2024-10-29) Turtle 3: this is straight up 5 star material, because it is the only one that works as intended so far for me. the bionic text part is good. I love people who go out of their way to improve the world on their own, like the dev with this plugin. Looking at it from a functionality perspective though, this is a 4 because of a very minor detail. it would be a solid 5 stars IF it worked on all websites automatically, without having to turn it on again and again. whenever a new page loads it needs to be turned on. even if you have turned it on under a domain once. :(( I understand the developer's concern about security and experience going messy in some websites. but hey, if the person turns those settings on, give them a warning and be done aye? I appreciate the developer being concerned about the user and trying to protect them, but having such a choice would be nice for those that understand the risks. I use this in a browser where i only read stories. it's a bigger deal for me because unfortunately I am using it on something the developer didn't intend to use it on, in kiwi browser on mobile, so hotkey (which the dev has added) isn't an option for me. it seems the dev has been given this suggestion many times in the comments, i hope this feature gets added someday. don't get me wrong, for something available for free, it's awesome and lightweight

- (2024-09-11) B0lt Master: It works very well however it would be nice if there was an option to make it automatically enable on all websites.
