• (2021-06-04) M Zaf: I really wanted to like this, but they don't make it easy! If you get an error message, you're basically stuck. Unless of course someone out there posted about their own experience, and how they may have solved the issue. The interface is basic, which is fine, but they provide NO information on how to proceed if anything doesn't work. After making sure all my settings were correct (re cookies, blocking, etc), i kept getting "login failed" even though I was already logged into Drive? After about ten rounds of this, I completely uninstalled, and reinstalled. This took care of the login error, but replaced it with "The API developer key is invalid". I've already wasted so much time on this, and haven't even been able to see if it actually works. Huge disappointment.

Clicking again on a file name doesn't do anything except scrolling the page back up. - it would be very beneficial to be able to export this result somehow, e.g. as txt or in a gsheet

• (2020-12-04) AA: Easy to use, but a) it sometimes calls different files the same which is scary since i have a lot of similar but important files and b) it doesn't have an option to mass deselect or select files in certain folders, which you want because you don't want files to be scattered throughout different folders and be mixed in, which means that you have to merge folders with any overlap into one folder before you use this
• (2020-11-05) Luisa Lema: Not super user-friendly, but does a great job! The button labeled "Trash All" is confusing, as it makes you believe that you are trashing EVERYTHING that is in the duplicate search.

• (2020-08-23) Janelle Klander: I just removed 60 GB on my google drive. Yay! The only scary part was the button to trash those selected is labeled "Trash All." But it really just means that you are trashing those that are selected so don't worry! That was so easy and now has saved me from buying more storage.

There were a bunch of files that it claimed were duplicates because they had the same size when you could see by the file name that they were totally different files. What kind of duplicate checker doesn't check the file name? If I have to go through and check manually which files I want deleted, then it defeats the entire purpose.

All I had to do is sign in to my google account and put the authorization code that they give you into the site and boom, it cleaned out over 1000+ files I didn't even know I had duplicates of. All you had to do is click 'Check All Except 1st' and then Trash All (which only gets rid of all the selected ones. So unless you want to delete some of the first files you can do this with little effort!
• (2019-11-21) Chris “Shiner” Wright: The App description states "You probably have a few dozen duplicate files, chiefly MP3 and photos in the Google Drive." A few dozen? Try well over 18,000 duplicate files (out of a total of 32,000) I'd been wondering how my 2TB storage was hitting nearly 1.5TB and upon investigating, I found a number of duplicate files with a couple of directories. I'd been using a 3rd party Cloud backup service to dump a synchronised backup of OneDrive/Dropbox into my GoogleDrive. Unbeknown to me, the sync service had somehow created multiple copies of the same file (up to 8 in some instances). Duplicate File Finder, Cleaner for Drive had no issues scanning over 32,000/1.5TB of files within my GoogleDrive and correctly identifying only the duplicates. I was then able to click a single option (Check All (except 1st)) which let me select all of the duplicates leaving a single copy behind. Saved me hours of manual cleaning up.

• (2019-08-29) Rauli Kumpulainen: It could do with some polishing but worked enough for my needs. It cannot however detect true duplicates, it only uses file size for comparison. So if the file content is different, but same size it is a match. The duplicate search also searches for large files, which show up in results. I clicked "check first only" which selects the first item in each duplicate file group list and I ended up deleting some big files also, which luckily did not matter to me but this is finding files based on two conditions and in a limited way at that. It should use a hash or other unique identifier for a file instead of just comparing file sizes, if that is possible with Google Drive I do not know.
• (2019-08-16) Leon: Bit of a struggle to load, then it seemed to work and gave me loads of dupes, but the next options are:- 1 Trash All 2. Check All 3. Check All (except 1st) 4. UnCheck All When I figured out that the 2nd one is the one I want - to check all the dupes not the originals, it is then totally unclear what to do. If I click Trash All , does that delete all the files?? I want to keep one version, which is obviously the entire reason for using this App ?!?

• (2019-08-10) Lower Buncombe Coachworks: This doesn't appear to do anything. There's no instructions, and no evidence of it's existence when you install it as an extension. It feels very much like a malicious program. I am doing everything I can to try and find where it is at, now, and get rid of it.

• (2019-07-18) Brandon Peglow: This extension saved me several hours of time. I had backed up pictures onto the drive from my phone and computer. So there were already several duplicates. Then I accidentally allowed Google Photos to back up my pictures, and it duplicated everything again. So about 10 years worth of pictures now had 2 or even 3 copies in my Google Drive. I was dreading spending tedious hours searching and deleting the thousands of duplicates. This extension did it all in a matter of minutes. It will search all of the folders, make a list of all the duplicates. You get an option to select all but 1 copy of each picture. Then hit the Trash All button and it will trash all of the duplicates. You still have to empty the trash afterwards, but it's so much faster. I did a couple more scans and it seemed to find more duplicates on the second and third sweep. What a time saver this was.

• (2018-12-30) Diana Angélica López Cruz: I am not a computer wizz and this app saves me headaches or worries when looking for duplicates and deleting them. I wonder if someone who is learning how to use this app could delete any important file form the operating system?
• (2018-11-27) Scott Morrison: Saved hours/days comparing files! Lots of duplicate photos and other files have built up over the years, moving from computer to computer. I like the orphan finder/cleaner also, but have a few questions/problems. It finds many orphans where I'm not the owner. It doesn't give the option to trash these, the word Trash beside each one has a line through it. If I select all, and move to a temp folder, and search for orphans again, it doesn't find any...seems good. But if I delete the files from the temp folder (note, they don't show up in trash when I do this), and search for orphans again, they're back as orphans. Is there no way to get rid of them permanently?

• (2018-08-26) Cary Clark: Worked fine for me. My Drive had run out of space and it found duplicate videos quickly that regained a comfortable buffer. My only issue is that the button labeled "Trash All" could be more clear if labeled "Trash Selected". I was hesitant to click it, but since it was the only way to remove the files, I trusted that the label wasn't what it did. There was a secondary dialog that clarified that it would trash all selected, so I was happy about that.

I keep getting errors to "remove adblock to use for free" but I have NO AD block on my Chromebook and it's NEVER worked. Forced to open Google+ Acct to review this because there's not even a "Help" link on the webpage. App is lousy waste of time.
