  • (2023-10-21) relativenormality: Able to play camera footage from HiLook camera in Home Assistant Dashboard
  • (2023-08-28) Anindya Sundar Bhar: After trying almost every possible app to play HEVC videos when none was able to, I decided to install this app despite seeing all the negative reviews and to my surprise it plays all the HEVC videos I had downloaded so far. Absolutely great work.
  • (2023-05-24) 歐小龍: can't use
  • (2022-09-05) T. F.: Does not work at all. crashed each time when I tried to open h265 mkv file.
  • (2022-08-28) S M: Garbage, doesn't work in the slightest, this isn't a plugin, this is a standalone app. False advertising.
  • (2022-08-17) Nduduzo Nene: Does not work.
  • (2022-05-31) Srt Kcl: small size but working player and decoder
  • (2022-03-19) Alessandro Ribeiro: This player is good, but I need a player to a dual audio vídeo =/
  • (2022-03-09) Amin J: Crashed and didn't play the video. Tried it a couple of times and same result
  • (2022-02-02) Rich Hand: does not work at all -
  • (2021-07-15) Captain Babyshorts: WOW! False expectations, eh? Apparently, my Ryzen 7 1700x, RTX 2060, 32GB of RAM and my M.2 SSD aren't able to decode the H.265 video that I edited/created on my computer (which runs back in full speed). This needs some work.
  • (2021-03-20) Laura “Geek Girl” Tinnel: Does not work as a plug-in to play embedded video. You have to open the video by spawning a standalone player. That's not a plug-in. A plug-in would play the video right there in your browser, just like YouTube videos. Guess what? Normal players will play this, so it's completely useless and unnecessary. Uninstalling immediately.
  • (2021-03-03) S. Cody Woodward: Crashes every time I try to open an MKV video
  • (2021-02-17) John Navas: PRO: Works on some HEVC video files. CON: Does not use hardware acceleration, so many HEVC files will not play properly, and battery consumption is high on those that do play. MPEG-4 is not included in Movie file type, so files will be invisible unless All Files is selected. BOTTOM LINE: Needs serious work!
  • (2021-02-16) Linda: doesn't recognise any of my video files
  • (2020-12-03) †Femi Johnson†: they really need to work on their subtitle size but you can see that they put in their best effort into everything else!, great job guys!!!!
  • (2020-11-05) Kevin Marigi: Pretty much works playing.265 mkv files the toggle full screen button doesn't work though
  • (2020-10-13) Robert T (Rob): I have a Chromebook and this player actually worked with a .MKV file with subtitles, whereas most other plays seemed to struggle with it. The default player for ChromeOS does not seem to display subtitles, which is still unbelievable.
  • (2020-09-25) Robert Pankowecki: It breaks google docs with "unable to load file" error now.
  • (2020-09-07) Keren Keziah Lim: Liked it very much! Only one thing, the fullscreen button doesn't work. Please fix it, it would be really awesome.
  • (2020-04-05) Lance Mize: doesn't work
  • (2020-03-28) Paula Bunions: The player works fine. It does not open videos as a stand alone app, but dragging and dropping them to play in a chrome window works. My only issue with it is that when playing fullscreen, the UI does not consistently autohide, leaving me with an annoying progress bar and timer at the bottom of my screen.
  • (2019-12-12) bbu7872: works well, sharp pictures and great color but cant toggle full screen as the progress bar at the bottom wont go away.
  • (2019-11-29) youcef black: its work like magic. but there's just one problem . i cant play online videos with this app . i hope you develop a solution for this issue i want to play online link directly without downloading the video thanks for your great work
  • (2019-05-26) Soheil Balini: has bugs but at least it works. many many tnx to the developer
  • (2019-05-21) Olga Klachkovich: Thanks for trying. I think chrome OS is simply garbage since most of the app I installed so far do not work as intendent
  • (2019-04-23) First Last: Plugin is not supported (Ubuntu 16.04)
  • (2019-03-22) Simon Noreika: Doenst work. Sound but no video.
  • (2019-01-11) B. Chude: Not perfect, but it's the only way to play H.265 videos if you don't have Android apps on your Chromebook.
  • (2019-01-04) Victor Butko: Now it plays AC3 audio!
  • (2019-01-03) Justin Davis: Using 0.1.19 (I think, latest as of this date 1/2/19) and the full screen button doesn't work right. Tried it on both my chromebook (Lenovo 500e) and on my pc (Precision 3510) with the same results. Otherwise works great. It seems like it is pretty much on the money with the warning about a computer being too slow. The reviews that say it doesn't work need to keep in mind, it has to be in an MKV container, not an MP4 container in order to load properly. It would be awesome if both container types were supported, and the full screen toggle worked, then it would be 5 stars for me.
  • (2018-10-19) Brandon Dudek: does not work
  • (2018-10-02) Sly Morrison: All players (PotPlayer, VLC, MPC-HC, etc.) installed on my computer (Intel Core i7-3770K) run X265 at about 6% processing. Already this player consumes about 50% of processing and still hangs in some movies.
  • (2018-09-19) Christopher Russell: running on acer chromebook. native video player works, VLC plays fine, this app says "your computer is too slow and playback may suffer." Dont waste your time kids
  • (2018-09-04) Michael Thomson: absolute junk, crashes every time on my asus flip
  • (2018-07-31) Amav Prasee: Not that great. Able to play, however, not a suitable app to work consistently with the Chromebook.
  • (2018-06-30) Joseph Trevino: Works great. Simple light weight player
  • (2018-06-16) Mikhail Aleksandrov: doesn't seem to work, I hear the sound but don't see the video
  • (2018-06-05) Francesco: Audio doesn't work,the app crashes. Chromebook V. 66.0.3359.203
  • (2018-05-24) Stan C.: Video plays but is very choppy and distorted on my Chromebook.
  • (2018-04-08) Imdiha: sub from my videos has too largered . sry iam bad in english
  • (2018-02-24) Sam Binder: runs terribly on chromebit, which i guess is to be expected because everything runs poorly on this piece of junk but chrome.
  • (2017-12-15) This player is actually very good. Perhaps I sound surprised, thats because i was. Its very simple, don't need anyy technical knowledge to operate it...just open choose the file you want to play and that's it. Simple. Wish all the players were like this!
  • (2017-12-02) Ron Ryan: Useless, this app cannot SEE a .mp4 file on my Chromebook, let alone play it. (Note .mp4 uses H.265 audio). Running this on a Chromebook. Useless App <Delete App>
  • (2017-11-30) Wojciech Jagodziński: i7 4790k, gtx 970, 16gb ram, good ssd and you're telling me that my pc is too slow to convert it in real time, its not the hardware but software
  • (2017-11-05) Ji Liu: Any video-playing always stops after several minutes. Graphic hangs while leaving only audio.
  • (2017-10-25) Sean Lumly: This works surprisingly well. It is light on features, but I cannot complain. It is a very good start.
  • (2017-08-05) Fahad Shaikh: large size videos not supported
  • (2017-07-10) Ondřej Pokorný: The only thing I missed on Chrome OS was a video player capable of playing some restricted formats. "Open with" in Files app would be nice.
  • (2017-05-09) Bohdan Kokotko: Gosh, this is the only player that allows MP4 playback on Chromebook
