Doesn't work. Claims my kdbx file is not a valid keepass file.

It soesn't work at all. I've installed plugin for keepas and tryed to add DB. But the password that workes well in keepas on win and android isn't correct for kee pass chrome :(

Does not work.

Seems broken. Doesn't accept ".kdbx" files.
Bob Hamilton
It seems only to allow access to your password database if it's stored on google drive. I couldn't find a way to get it to even look at my onedrive files.
Michael Campbell
Can't even get this thing to open my database. I point it to a webserver on my local network and it just freezes.

A lot of people seem to be complaining about this app - and from a user experience yes, it's not great. The file needs to be selected each time, the decryption is slow (and some say partially implemented), and the management of credentials is limited.... however... 1) Consider it's 4+ years old 1) It's the only offline chromebook friendly app i've found for keepass which doesn't require dev mode (as I try to resist it once more!) and doesn't make me trust it trawling my Drive 2) It's open source (The website is a GitHub page). This would make a great start for somebody wanting to create something better! 3) It'll work in a pinch

Basic. Allows access to your database, but doesn't show notes or allow copying of usernames. Works fine for purely accessing your passwords.
Ashley Boers
Clean UI is functional and simple to use however lacks features such as browser integration.

I like it. It works for me: DB File from google drive and Key and Password pair! Thank you! Danke!

Frustrating lack of the most basic functions, such as the ability to scroll down the list of entries. I've used it for over a year. It is stable and doesn't crash. But its limits are extraordinary: I cannot scroll through the entries, copy the user name, or access any of the fields in the database except for the username and password. The entries are not organized into categories, the way they are in my KeePass applications on other platforms. Finally, this is a read-only database, entries cannot be edited or added. Chrome appears to be a limited platform to develop on, but these are some of the most basic user interface elements.

Opens database and shows password only when the lock is closed. Password window is way too small. No indication of how to cut and paste passwords. Why does my chromebook not have a true delete key only a backspace?

doesn't work
Lieven Hanssen
It was horribly slow to start up.
Mike Trotz
This works as a good stopgap program on a Chromebook if you are dependent on KeePass files. It does not offer all the features of KeePass. The database is read only, you can only copy the password (not the username), and no openurl shortcut. Hopefully some day all the features will be added, until then most of your keepass work will have to be done on Windows, Linux, or Mac.

Don't Touch!

Interface still looks a bit shaky. I can get only one, nonscrollable, page of passwords. The search function seems to work, which makes it workable, but there doesn't seem to be a way to go "back" to the previous page either. Perhaps with updates this can become a workable app.

I have this extension in Firefox and it actually opens the KeePass application which was what I was expecting in Chrome. I am disappointed in this version.
Charles Delroy
doesn't open any kdbx file
Emirhan Oznalbant
does not open kdbx files
Marion Bass
Pretty good but needs notes and edit/save. Updated: After actually trying to use it, I discovered I can't copy user name or copy or invoke URL. Even copying password requires multiple steps. Not very useful after all.
Ian Gunn
Good but it doesn't seem to remember the last file or URL that I opened. Would be much more convenient if it did.
Darren Z
It works in that it allows me to open my KeePass 2.x file and view the contents, but entries are not sorted by category, and you can't scroll the page, so you must rely on the search feature to find what you want. Furthermore, it doesn't show entries other than username and password, so if you have a secondary password or a PIN entered into your database, you can't see it with this app. It's a step in the right direction, but there are a lot of steps left to go.

Pretty simple & limited but it works just fine on my budget chromebook. I dl my data file from dropbox to the local f/s.

Since I switched to Keepass2 on Linux and Android, using kdbx files, this now opens it direct from my Google Drive folder. I haven't tried editing files yet. However it only shows the password and URL fields, doesn't scroll down the file (so you need to search), and doesn't remember the file so you have to navigate through your Google Drive every time you want to access a password. Only for the desperate.
Surat Chuatrakul
note that it works with keepass 2 files only (.kdbx)

IS THIS SAFE?
Dean Bigbee
Works! Can view a list and easily search. Does exactly what I need it to do. Thanks!
Dennis Bournique
Does not work, says my password is wrong, it's not. I just use a KeePass 1.x and just a password (no key file). I tried with the database on Dropbox and as a local file and KeePass Chrome keeps saying my password is wrong!
Sandra Mathieu
Can't log in my keepass file... Work like a charm on Windows...
Robert Ingram
My needs are simple, copy file from labtop to chromebook to app, open chromebook app, access internet site, except that this app does not scroll thru pages!
Brandon Sabean
This POS hgardly works doesnt say if it is working it has been programmed incorrectly
Jamie Holyoake
no popular cloud db solution support.
dess
Sadly, not usable ATM. Tested with version 1 database (using password or keyfile). Fail to open. By the way, the GitHub published version differs (v0.1 there, v0.3 here).
Dave Rosen
Can't see the notes section of my entries.
Roy Eberhardt
Very limited interface. No uninstall
Bob Anderson
Only recognises the later kdbx file format not the original kdb format I need for compatibility with keepassx on Linux. However it does work and lists just title, user name password and url but not notes etc. Powerful search and this is essential as you can't page down the list.
Jessie James
I really don't get the point of this ... we need something like KeeFox for Chrome!!
Bob Cavalluzzi
It doesn't allow me to open the file. I'll need to keep my android device next to me instead. Fail.
Robert H
dont work.
Matthew Westra
No scroll bar on the side, so I can only see the first several entries. Can't access my passwords.
Michael Cowperthwaite
I got this working with little trouble to open a .kdbx database that's on my Google Drive with a keyfile copied to the local storage of my chromebook. Using it offline would require manually downloading the database whenever it changed, I guess, which is an issue with the Google Drive implementation (won't keep a sync'd local copy), not Keepass. As others have said, the available functionality is minimal. Here's hoping for improvements.
Pavel Anaschenko
does not open my keepass kdb file
Anonymous
Unable to successfully open any of my .kdb files, all of which have been verified to be intact and valid.
Scott Wouwenaar
For some reason, it doesn't have a scroll bar. Nor can you see other fields or notes. And it doesn't seem to work with a password file - you have to manually enter password.
San der
does not work
Hrytsko
The only thing that works in a browser. My system admin blocks me from launching the full-fledged Windows KeePass program, so I that's the only way to use KeePass for me. Thanks!
Michael Nguyen
Definitely still has some work to be done, but its better than not having access to my passwords on the Chromebook.
Glenn Brockett
Grants KeePass functionality to Chromebox/Chromebook. Still very basic, but better than nothing. ONLY WORKS WITH .kdbx FILES. You have to edit the files using another computer or device.
