A Chrome app which creates a system wide (tor)socks proxy at port 9999 enabling access to Tor network.[ earlier titled KroTor ]

Notes:
1. This app was earlier known as KroTor, the name was changed to comply with Tor trademark rules.
2. The official codebase of tor is running in this app, this is port of Tor to NaCl platform on Chrome browser.

5. This app is not a substitute for Tor Browser Bundle.

Kronymous started working in chrome 58, updated the GUI to reflect that.

- (2016-07-09) Frank Utne: I'm not sure exactly what this app offers over simply starting tor from the command line and switching to its profile with a proxy switcher extension. I wrote a detailed analysis of the app in the Support section and it was not only unanswered, it was deleted. That, despite high praise for the Help popup. Other than that this app is worthless. It has to be launched from this store page! There is no button or any other means to launch it. You have to make many clicks before it finally kicks in. Then there is no way to stop it except by closing its window.

- (2016-02-21) Zach Lym: This plugin is dangerous: the Tor Browser Bundle comes with significant privacy enhancements. You can't just proxy an application through Tor, you have to really understand what the application is doing. The developer includes a disclaimer but it's simply not strong enough.

I mean like the app says this is no replacement for torbrowser on a real computer but hey, its a way to run tor on a chromebook without having to install crouton.
