  • (2020-07-15) Daniel Lança Perdigão (Mr. Mindmap): I am a registered user and very happy with it. I’ve read a few negative comments here, with one or two stars, and I can see that some eople has never used or was unable to understand AYOA. just by using AYOA I have replaced Trello + Slack and other chat apps + iMindMap + TaskManager + some Excel sheets. It’s a great collaboration tool, with tasks and reminders (to specific user / member), alerts, calendar integration, etc. and also a great creativity to action tool. Could be talking about it all day long... I use it to help me manage my business opportunities, sales and partners, as well as to prepare projects, training, talks, etc.
  • (2018-05-12) Gary French: I have tried 10's of digital to-do and task management software. This is the ONLY one that works for me. Highly efficient, all the options and in all the right places. Somehow manages to complement how my mind organises tasks - fantastic. Please don't change the fundamentals of this design and layout (and pay structure). Would be totally lost without it now. It's made work and home life better - thank you DropTask - Recently also purchased iMindMap - and discovered it's owned by the same company? - not a coincidence they are both fantastic.
  • (2018-04-19) Eduardo Forero: VEry good, pricy for bussines features. But need a couple of tweeks..
  • (2018-03-30) Sean Mcmahon: New applications is excellent with immediate updated across apps and web versions
  • (2018-03-28) steve bredenkoetter: No time tracking. I mean, how do you bill yourself as a project management or organizational app without time tracking. It's basically a list app that cost $99/year.
  • (2018-03-28) Rob MacIntyre: more enticing promises that can't be explored without paying a subscription. You lost me there. Don't waste my time
  • (2018-03-14) Rachel Herman: Can't figure out if it would work for me since everything is locked and costs $$ to unlock.
  • (2018-02-10) Rafael J. Barros: For the paid version, you get an amazing project management tool. For the free version, probably need to work out a more flexible way to showcase the power of the application. For the non-business setting, maybe the price tag is a bit to high.
  • (2018-01-11) Bradley Hocking: Understand the views of the people who want to try before they buy. I decided to take the plunge and paid the subscription fee. Worth. Every. Penny.
  • (2017-12-07) Kim Rosen: This extension and the related app look like they might be really useful to me as an individual just trying to organize all of her work and home projects and tasks. Unfortunately, it's impossible to even tell if DropTask is useful without access to the majority of it's features without paying for a minimum 1 year subscription at a price tag of $100. It's also a shame not to have a plan for individual users at a lower rate, but that's moot since I can't tell if I like the product.
  • (2017-11-28) J Sanfilippo: Tech support is lacking. Maybe I'll continue to use this, maybe not, I want to think I did not throw my money down the drain.
  • (2017-10-14) Michael Thorn: The "free" version is a joke to correctly evaluate this for business. I am trying to evaluate for a team of 20 located in Australia and China and initially though this could be a great solution... pity I cant actually test the features necessary to make an informed decision.
  • (2017-09-29) Jade Williams: The Idea Is Great! However functionality is not. It is a Scam Product! I am not a business I am a home user, I may not a business so why do I need to pay for a business upgrade to do the most basic things. tried to use the free home version, however it is practically useless. Any feature that I want to use is unavailable unless you upgrade to the business version. The upgrade only provides an option for an annual or 2 year price, paid in advance. If you were confident in your product, you would offer a monthly subscription option. I'm really dissapointed by this,Shame on you guys!!!
  • (2017-09-22) A Google User: Annoying forced tutorial...just making a new account can't start working
  • (2017-08-16) Dave K: business for single person use. everything is locked. if i can test and verify, maybe i will switch, but no 1 month free trial. what are you, beyonce ? and to add a simple task, click 100 times. its fun to do with 1 task, but daily with many tasks, no thanks.
  • (2017-07-10) Tem: What a waste of time since it doesn't work at all as a trial version. You might have some good developers who have built a useful tool but no one will purchase it without being able to test it first. Especially as you are asking for one year payment upfront. Suggest you re-visit your commercial strategy and invest in marketing.I would also carry out more user testing as it doesn't seem particularly intuitive.
  • (2017-07-08) Darrell Hansen: Just too busy of an app for my liking.
  • (2017-07-07) Good Stuff: The simple visual design is really great for what I do - one fairly simple project at a time. I have major ADD and this really works for me where lists make me go to sleep. I used to make my own diagrams like this on paper instead of lists. So it was really cool to see someone had done it. Do Not like the pay 2 years in advance routine. Won't do it. You know there is a reason for that...they must have massive drop out on monthly plans.
  • (2017-05-18) Sachindra Puthran: Extremely happy with the unique user interface. as an artist, i feel its very easy and intuitive and solve my basic problem of an overview point of view of projects. Its also time saving as I can use my iphone and desktop to manage the modules.
  • (2017-04-26) sarah waterman: The free version had me hooked and I wanted to try it with the actual features we will need as a team, exa the ability to include notes and assign tasks to others. I asked if I could pay for one month upgrade or try it for free and was told no. After reading these reviews I will look for something else, dont want to throw out $200!!! Please Pleae let us at least pay for one month business plan to try it to see if it works, otherwise you will go out of business. If things change let me know and i will definitely try before I buy!
  • (2017-03-14) Patricia Phillips: Not willing to pay for an entire year unless I know it would work for me.
  • (2017-02-27) Jane S.: Very unintuitive software. For example, there is a cog - the typical icon for settings. But droptask has 2 cogs, on towards the top, one towards the bottom, that do different settings (never saw that before in any product). So after finding the cog and getting frustrated looking for the setting you want you have to go look for help. This unintuitiveness is the same for other features. Looking for ways to filter things in the list (icon that does not represent filtering to me nor used in other products, should be at the top, not the bottom). How it changes things in the free program vs the paid version (so the help doesn't match). Even after learning the basics (how to create a category and tasks and edit them and set attributes) doing anything more than that is difficult (e.g. with one person tasks does not list any tasks - huh??, you have to go to mytasks to see the tasks, so what shows in tasks if you are an admin person? Or is that a bug...). I found myself going to help text way too much for learning the basics of a product, I can't remember the last time I had to use help that much - again, very unuserfriendly. Add-ons, something you think they would want to sell, give brief explanations that are not always enough to understand what you are getting (seems to be a theme with them, you have to pay for something before you know how it works). Extended Views is up for grabs what that really does. iMindMap integration (that it doesn't transfer full information) is not detailed. As others said, this works for very simple projects, a few categories and a few tasks per categories is about as much as the program can handle or it is too large to be manageable (can't read text if you shrink it, can't see the entire picture if you make it larger, and I am on a 5K 27" screen). If you have future categories collapsing them helps. Viewing it on an smartphone is even worse. Task list view is worthless to me. I am used to Toodledo where I can filter not only how I want to see something but filter out things I don't want to see (Toodledo is an extremely flexible product - very easy to do tasks due in next week sorted by person). As others have said, I would never sign up for an annual product for this price that I could not fully try out first. Minimum I would need to have 1 project with 2 users and full features for the trail would give a decent feel for how things worked (e.g. put one project into it). While I liked the size difference for the effort required, the "badges" - red flags, lightening bolts, etc. were not useful at all. When the entire project is seen these are not different enough to be able to tell which one they are, having one "badge" that we choose what it was and color coding text would be a better choice. Also, isn't it silly to have importance and urgency? Both say do now, only one is needed to say do this task(s) first. Oh, also definitely needed (based on other's comments) is way to set what kinds of reminders occurred and what didn't (e.g. only 1 project or only critical task, or only from one person, or only the tasks marked to ask for reminders, etc.). Again, flexibility is needed. I tested this out for a very simple project and I question it's use for that. There is no way I could use it for the typical projects we work on that have 10-20 items each category and 10-20 categories per task. That is for one project, let alone running 3-4 of these projects at a time. Again, the only way I would recommend this to someone is if they were doing something very simple, by themselves or with one other person, and a 20 item task list, sorted by person/importance/etc. is overwhelming to them or the other person. And I would recommend the free program only - not worth paying about $100 for something that can only do very simple projects. [Example, Toodledo gives 85% of the features in it's free version. If you need one of the other features such as collaboration it is only about $15 a year. What a difference compared to this product.
  • (2017-02-15) Emma Sousa: Unfortunately it is difficult to rate an application when you are not allowed to at least trial the app using all its features. This is just bad business
  • (2016-12-07) Jeff Shamus: This is the first tool that is really getting me organized. I love just about everything about it. I like the fact that is is simple and the creators are not trying to be everything to everyone. The UI and UX is delightful. I love the fact that it always behaves like I expect it to - ie. I don't have to try to figure out what the developer was thinking. I click, and it does what I think it should and what I want it to do. Besides them not letting people demo the Biz version until they buy it (what are they thinking??), they are on the right track.
  • (2016-11-14) mohammed khalil: best task manager ever used
  • (2016-11-08) Petar Ivkovic: Wow. Not a very intelligent way to promote your product guys. You can clearly see the same sentiment being expressed from many of your prospects in the reviews below who would all potentially be your long-term paying users if you knew how to market your product. It is absolutely infuriating to be met with a shell of a product with all of its features stripped away and to be asked to pay for it for a full 1, 2 or year term without the ability to at the very least try your DropTask For Business plan. You should definitely rethink your monetization strategy because not only are you not converting but you're actually building animosity towards your product.

  • (2016-08-11) James A. Smith: Unfortunately immediately after i paid $99 I learned your latest update had bugs and everyone was upset. The app was not working as advertised. I loved its features but without the... Task lists Sync with Gmail Sync with Google Calendar I had to cancel and use another service. I loved the circles and layout but it was only half effective. I'm giving one star because I asked for a refund when I cancelled. (a week after buying, hoping and waiting for the bugs to be fixed.) I wasn't granted one. And after reading your fine print it's pretty fine. No flex in your policy. The old "as is" cost me $99. I'll try to pay closer attention to the fine print next time.
  • (2016-08-08) Kimberly Shi: wonderful app
  • (2016-07-17) Dave Domzalski: Drop Task came highly recommended by a friend, but Asana is better...for a few reasons. Drop Task forces you to pay for basic features like creating a sub task or centralized communication that is offered in apps like Asana for free. The visual aspect of Drop task is ok, but not necessary and certainly does not supersede basic functionality. There are other, amazing features in Drop task that could be made a part of the paid version. The best task management tools do not make people pay for basic functionality, they bait you with a taste of what makes them unique and get you to pay for that. Also, the only way to see your tasks groped by project is the in the visual or "group" view. By the time I got to 6 groups, this already became a pain; dragging around a screen to find what needed to work on or to organize my projects. Once you go to the list view, all of your tasks just run together like in Asana's "My Tasks" view (only one of several ways you can look at your project in Asana). Asana does all of the basics better. IF you need this to keep track of basic, personal tasks, it works fine. If the basic issues are fixed, e.g. giving you the ability to group your projects and tasks in list view, I would happily switch to give the paid version a try.
  • (2016-07-12) Elizabeth Molton: This is way to difficult to accomplish. Big circles and little circles are a great visual but not if it takes forever to set it up. Plain old COZI for me. Sorry guys I tried it.
  • (2016-07-04) Parthiban Rajendran: Even after de activation, they continue to take my money
  • (2016-06-29) Jim P: Simple to use, nice interface.
  • (2016-06-15) Ashley Lambert-Maberly: The program itself is not bad, but the customer service is horrible.
  • (2016-06-13) Alfredo Corell: I really like droptask, but I have some complains: -the look is not a big deal. It should be more versatile -you can't set an hour for a given meeting - this is the most awful failure of this nice aplication -the alarms/reminders are not generic -let's say 1 hour in advance... you have to adjust them task by task
  • (2016-06-05) Judy Alkema: So happy to find a visual, creative, customizable task organizer that works for me. I spent two days with the free version and went to Pro almost right away. That said, I'd love to see *more* customization with regards to colour (and shape) - it's ridiculous not to have either a fuller list of colour choices so that we can better distinguish sections in large projects. Or even just provide the infinite spectrum which would allow true custom colours for any group or task - especially in Pro. As another user has commented, the current range gives a childish effect to the overall program. If squares, rounded squares, ovals, and 'doodle bubbles' were also available, even more sorting and customization would become possible for us visual types. Just a thought!
  • (2016-05-24) Daniel Schmaus: Great for managing projects!
  • (2016-05-18) Christine K: This is the first project management tool that works like I think. I would appreciate a text box feature so I can place a header at the top of projects over the group circles. It would also be helpful to have a button to archive a group. I have started an archive "project" and I move completed projects there, adding a time estimate. An auto feature would be helpful. Thanks!
  • (2016-05-11) Maru Willson: I love the ease of use and the visual aspect of it. It works great for projects that in the conceptual phase or very fluid. They are working on adding reports, but in the meantime they offer sync with Google Calendar. It's not a GANTT chart but it helps enough for the projects I use DropTask with.
  • (2016-04-20) Daniel McSchmaniel: I don't understand why there's not more visual task managers out there. Isn't every human a visual thinker?? It allows me to see my priorities by 'feel' more than hard thought. I really like DropTask but I do have 2 complaints: 1) The aesthetic is a little childish, it reminds me of Fisher Price. The pro themes improve that a little but not much. 2) Keyboard shortcuts! Anyone who is serious about productivity at their machine needs these, please implement them to have a complete product.
  • (2016-03-29) Christophe Wildfire: Awesome, only 2 things need to be improve, sync tasks automatically between iMindMap and Droptask, and the mobile app. And one function need to be add, an alert based on the location for a task.
  • (2016-03-19) Tarek Ould-Bachir: Still missing some important features but quite useful as is it.
  • (2016-03-01) Dhanang Wibowo: Best for people who more reliant on visual approach. This works wonderfully for me.
  • (2016-02-22) L Jiang: Very convenient tool to manage multiple tasks. Love the app for iphone. I can get notification on time and stay on top of everything!
  • (2016-02-06) Eugen Dragomir: An extraordinary visual approach to project management.
  • (2016-01-27) Brian Kopp: This is a fantastic and very visual task management program.
  • (2016-01-25) Donnica Henry: I have been looking for a way to combine both tasks and agenda/calendar in one efficient digital app and DropTask is wonderful. I'm still learning how to maximize this great tool, and of course any app/tool can always be improved. I would (and have been) recommend DropTask to anyone who is visual.
  • (2015-12-28) Phil Martin: Many bits I like and would like more integration with the project view in iMindmap. Exporting a task should take across some dates. If droptask had a project view so it would be possible to see a gantt view as well. I agree with others - it takes a while to work out the best way to use it. I found the web version more powerful than the windows 10 app for example,
  • (2015-12-15) Viktor V: Simple to use, more reports would be great.
  • (2015-12-09) Greg Liberto: Pure awesomeness. Nothing gets me as organized as Droptask
