URL Sequencer
Extension Actions
A browser extension that allows users to navigate a list of URLs with Back and Forward buttons.
URL Sequencer is a lightweight productivity extension for anyone who works through a set of links repeatedly. Paste or build a URL list, then move through it in sequence using simple Back/Forward navigation.
Key features
Create and save a URL list (paste newline- or comma-separated links)
Add the current tab’s URL to your list with one click (“Active URL”)
On-page navigation overlay with Back / Index / Forward
Draggable overlay: move the control to any spot on the page
Works with modern Single Page Apps (SPA): buttons stay in sync as the URL changes
Supports multiple URL types including http/https (and optionally file/ftp where the browser allows)
Perfect for
SEO audits and content reviews (open pages in a defined order)
QA testing and checklists (step through staging URLs)
Research, outreach, and verification workflows
Any “link list” task where browser history isn’t enough
How to use
Open the extension and paste your URLs (one per line) or click “+ Active URL”
Click “Save List”
Turn Navigation ON to show the on-page Back/Forward overlay
Use Back/Forward to move through the list; drag the overlay if it covers UI
Notes
Chrome restricts extensions on internal pages like chrome:// (the overlay can’t appear there).
For pages, enable “Allow access to file URLs” in the extension’s details page if needed.
Privacy
The extension stores your URL list locally in your browser.
Minimal usage analytics may be collected to improve reliability (event metadata such as navigation direction and destination hostname; not full page content).
