This extension relies on experimental features of Chrome as of November 2024, It may not work in the future due to changes in Chrome's functionality.
Version 2024.9.25.2033 of the Optimization Guide On Device Model blocks the operation in languages other than English.
Therefore, if you are using this version of the Optimization Guide On Device Model, this tool will not work as expected.
Prerequisites
Open chrome://flags, set the following two flags and restart Chrome.
- Enables optimization guide on device: Enabled BypassPerfRequirement
- Prompt API for Gemini Nano: Enabled
Open chrome://components and wait until the Optimization Guide On Device Model Status becomes Component already up to date.
Translate
Select the text you want to translate and click on the extension icon.
You can also use the shortcut key (Alt+N by default).
