Readium for Chrome is the Chrome browser extension configuration of ReadiumJS, an open source reading system and JavaScript library for displaying EPUB® publications in web browsers. ReadiumJS is a project of the Readium Foundation. EPUB is a widely adopted portable document format based on Web Standards such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and SVG. EPUB is a registered trademark of the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF).
This release (2.14.2) adds support for:
- Better support for Media Overlays (now passes all the test in the EPUB Test Suite)
- Scrollable views, including per-chapter and per-document (per forthcoming EPUB 3.0.1 spec)
- Configurable shortcuts and other accessibility features
- Expanded i18n support (still not complete for some languages)
