Description from store THIS IS NOT MADE BY DEXCOM. THIS IS FOR WORKING WITH THE DEXCOM G4 CGM BUT IS NOT MADE BY DEXCOM THE COMPANY. DON'T USE THIS FOR ANY DECISIONS. This is hacked together and it's a wonder it works at all. Don't rely on this for your health. In using this you release me from any harm, liability, etc, etc. Use at your own risk. Dexcom Studio is not available on any platforms but certain versions of Windows. This Chrome app takes the place of that. This'll let you download data, and run certain reports and feed systems like NightScout with data. If you have a Mac, this should work as long as you have OSX 10.7, 10.8, 10.9 or 10.10. Will NOT work on older versions. Dexcom Portrait has recently become another option for Mac users, though it does not work with Nightscout. If you have Windows, 7, 8 or 8.1 require you to have Dexcom Studio installed. Windows 10 does not require Dexcom Studio. I don't know if Windows XP works. If you have Ubuntu, this generally works but you may need to set some udev rules. See Linux directions at bottom https://github.com/nightscout/chrome-uploader/blob/master/README.md

  • (2015-03-01) Scott: It works! It uploaded all my data to the Nightscout MongoDB! Thanks for publishing this app! I'm running on Ubuntu 14.10. I added the udev rule and ALSO had to add my user account to the "dialout" group which is what group has permission to the TTY device that Dexcom gets registered as.
  • (2015-02-21) Paulina BudzoƄ: Thaaaaank you, thank you, thank you! This is so great! Being able to download the readings without switching to Windows!
  • (2015-01-04) Laura Metz: Super awesome! I know it will probably have glitches but honestly, after 2 minutes of figuring out the reports, I can totally see where we need to make changes tomorrow. With a MacBook - I just thought I wouldn't be able to download the data... This is so so helpful! You rock!
  • (2014-11-03) Chris Lloyd: This has been instrumental in allowing me to monitor my daughter's dex from remote locations at night. Brian has been really responsive to DTC related issues. Thank you for providing this for the T1D community!
  • (2014-09-09) Sarah S: Having Dexcom available on my Mac really helped me out, thanks for all the hard work!
  • (2014-08-29) jason behrstock: Works great! Thanks! In a future version, it would be great if you could set it up for multiple accounts for people with more than one T1 in their family :)
  • (2014-08-13) Michael Cohen: Very excited for this
  • (2014-08-11) Christopher Snider: Unbelievable. This is part of an incredible movement to liberate data and give patients the access and information they need to make informed decisions about their diabetes. For those that are looking at the CGM in the Cloud movement and aren't yet ready to take that plunge, this is the perfect middle ground.
