• (2018-12-28) ext press: The inactivity reset only works once. After the first reset, it will not do another reset until a cursor is moved. This does not happen in previous version. For now, this app is not working for my kiosk.

• (2017-10-05) Brian Powell: The app works as expected... the only issue I have is when an update is released for the app, the Chromebook powers down after the update is installed... The unplanned shutdowns are not acceptable so I'm working on figuring out how to prevent my Chromebooks from downloading the updates.
• (2017-09-12) Ryan Cosby: We are currently using this on a Chromebit for digital signage and it does what we need it to do, perfectly. If you're looking to display a webpage for digital signage, I highly recommend this app. The only suggestion that I would have, is adding some more features from the setup page to the remote administration page.

Setting it up manually is easy, but I'd like to be able to deploy this to many machines. Deploying the extension is doable, but its configuration is what I want to deploy as well.

• (2017-03-23) Kyle Sanford Jr.: Unfortunately, this kiosk app is useless on a Mac. Hovering at the top or bottom of the screen brings up the menu bar and dock, so the Kiosk app can simply be shut off. It's not suitable for public use on a Mac. On a chromebox, there is no option for an OS screensaver, and since the Kiosk app provides no screensaver option, I can't use this app on a chromebox, either. Regarding the new feature for multiple tabs, I would like to see the ability to RENAME the tabs to anything I'd please. Some websites don't have user friendly bookmark names.

• (2017-03-04) Tracy Evans: Cant get Keynote HTML to work. Cant figure out the path to enter. I have exported HTML out of MacOS Keynote. It is in a folder on the desktop. In that folder is an index file.I can drag that index into a Chrome window and it works fine. This is the URL displayed in Chrome: file:///C:/Users/tep/Desktop/test/assets/player/KeynoteDHTMLPlayer.html#0 I have tied variations of this with no success. Any help would be appreciated.

• (2017-01-30) Rob Austin: Was great when I initially installed it on some enterprise Chromeboxes. Now it no longer refreshes content (by using the refresh after inactivity setting) unless I completely wipe the Chromebox and start from scratch. Really bummed about this. <EDIT> Further troubleshooting points in a different direction than this app, which upon further review I am still very fortunate to be able to use. Apologies for jumping the gun. Thanks for creating this and making it available for public consumption! We would be lost without it.
• (2017-01-24) The Healthcare Messaging Group: Love the app, but would like it even more if I can have a screensaver mode put into it! I'm currently running this off a Chromebox device as an actual kiosk hence I can't enable an OS system screensaver..
• (2017-01-12) Wow... used this to set up an information kiosk on some old Mac Mini running Windows 7, and it is great! Very fast and easy to use. You just have to remember to disable the Windows touch keyboard or someone could get out. Other than that, the app is perfect and locked down! Just great for what I needed it for.

• (2016-11-04) Could work better on Windows...every morning when I check on devices running Windows 7/8/10 and they are always closed out of the Kiosk Extension as if it was never running to begin with - displaying the Desktop background. Not a big deal I suppose if you have it pinned to your Taskbar. More of a annoyance for novice users if anything. This appears to happen regardless of whether the "Daily Restart" option is checked so maybe it's another checkbox selection causing the issue? Overall great extension though; very helpful for Digital Signage Boards and works very well for Chrome OS as expected.

• (2016-08-03) I spent about 20 minutes reading how to create a kiosk app for my Chromebit, but this app does everything I need!
• (2016-07-19) Cpl Catalog: Needs the ability to add a screensaver. We do not want to "dim" the screen because patrons might think the public access catalog is not turned on. For our other catalogs, we use a screensaver that says "Catalog".. we're trying to use Chromesticks for our catalogs now, and if you add the ability for a screensaver, this app will be perfect!

• (2016-04-18) Austin Shea: This is a fantastic app. Just keep in mind that it seems to be made for Chrome OS. Mac and Windows based systems can easily exit the program. Edit: I personally dont think it should maintain cookies. This does not work well with multiple users signing in at different times.
