• (2019-05-30) Martin Herz: Is it possible that this does not work any longer, now that Google Calendar and Tasks was updated? I noticed that the automatic shifting of tasks from today to tomorrow stopped working. And now I notice triggers don't apply either. Is there a fix for this, or has Google blocked this script from actually working?
• (2019-03-26) Oh, my goodness! I just installed it, and it started to develop these false recurring tasks, like "buy milk" every Monday and Thursday, and "water plants" every other Saturday! It even said "pay taxes" on April 14! No, this was no joke, as no one else uses this account. I deleted the app, and it still took some work to get the tasks off.
• (2018-11-20) Lisa Duesberry: I love this app and use it daily. I had trouble setting it up, so my advice is to take your time and read the instructions, and don't despair at setup. I suggest setting up 2 or 3 recurring dummy tasks to figure out how the patterns work, then testing them over a few days, and *then* setting up your legit recurring tasks. It works like a charm once you get the hang of it as other reviewers noted.
• (2018-09-24) Brian Weichel: This app solves a major deficiency in Google Tasks. This is complex to accomplish, so the app is not trivial, but it is well documented so just read the instructions.

• (2016-09-02) Jack Flakne: This is perfect for when you have a bunch of recurring daily tasks that change over time. For example, my dear dog recently had surgery, and scheduling all of her rehab activities as tasks is particularly helpful, as they filter to my phone's GTasks app. It would be very helpful if tasks could be assigned a specific time of day, so they can fall in a certain order, when viewing a list of tasks for a particular day. I suppose one could enter tasks as calendar items, but that becomes too cluttered and difficult to follow, when a task doesn't require a specific time other than "some time this afternoon."

• (2016-05-02) Jeff Harrison: Right idea, but missing some important options to be "fully baked." Author lists it as a workaround ("As I mentioned - it is just a workaround"), though, so it is what it is.
• (2016-03-21) Henry Foster: This is great, except tasks can only repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. Please upgrade so that we can set tasks to repeat every n days or every n weeks.
• (2016-03-10) Gerald Cox: Perfect. Easy to use and works great! Highly recommended. I had been using the aCalendar tasks android app to do this, but it doesn't maintain completed task history. This does!
• (2016-01-22) Esmeralda Thrace: The whole thing can be a confusing to use at first, but the developer answered my question (I was doing something wrong) within 24 hours and I got it working like a charm. I really hope the developer doesn't abandon it before we see what Google's version looks like on the web (we still can't add reminders at all via the browser AFAIK). I suspect that, even if Google's version ends up being simpler and easier to use, it won't have some of the cool features of this script (like shifting overdue tasks to today). So yeah, really cool, really useful gadget here. I like it.
• (2015-10-22) Anthony Frantilla: For some reason this didnt work for me. Im not sure how to set it up as reoccurring. I was even clicking on the templates and nothing happened. I will change the rating if I figure this out before removing.
• (2015-09-27) John Longman: Great to finally have a repeating tasks app for Google Calendar! This App fills a huge functionality gap in Calendar, and makes it a much more effective tool for personal time management. Many thanks to the developer.
• (2015-09-17) Lisa Volk: This solves the main thing I hated about GTasks - the lack of a way to make a task recur.... major thorn in a LOT of people's side, It's pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. The developer is very responsive to questions and comments, so if it's not working out for you, just ask for help!!! App gets a 4 star, because it could be more user-friendly. Developer gets 5 stars!
