- (2021-04-02) Lucas: This app is very good! I love how it is modern. You shouldn't worry about the subscrption. It is better than buying a SINGLE office app for $140 when you can pay $6 per month to get all office apps! If you cant use this app the just use the Office Editing for Docs, Sheets, and slides chrome extension. 5 stars!

- (2021-01-12) Stan Duncan: It's not bad. It has a similar appearance to Word, and a few of its commands, but there are others on the market that have far more functionality. By it's own admission, it's only good to "make quick changes right here in your browser." Not a ringing endorsement. I have a Chromebook, so I need a word processor, not a toy. (Note: the above review was written back when the "free" Word Online still worked. About a year ago MS made changes and now allows only "Read Only" mode for for any device with a screen larger than 10.1". That means, nothing larger than a phone or tiny tablet. And that means for the fast majority of PC or Chromebook users, it's worthless. Don't download this app.)

I have a samsung chromebook and Im trying to write a paper for my computer literacy class and most of the tools on word that i need for that class are not available like the ruler or tab insert or tab stops. They need to add those or just delete word since you need office 365 but you need a subscription for it and i had the subscription but it still wouldnt let me do those things plus this computer only lets you use word online and not the actual word app.

If you want to write a good or great paper then try GOOGLE DOCS! But if you REALLY want to use Microsoft word then go right ahead but I will say again IT IS NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!
