  • (2025-06-06) Jon J.: This is Awesome! I will donate and hopefully the developer can migrate this to a webapp after chrome apps end
  • (2025-01-22) Francois BOURDEAU: Very good, but when the wallpaper is refreshed, all the open windows are refreshed. For exemple, when i'm typing a mail in gmail app, it moves the cursor to the "to section". All the windows are refreshed very quickly and exactly at the same time than the wallpaper. Not only apps, but chrome windows too. Even after a powerwash and with no extension. Any idea ?
  • (2025-01-16) Symphony Armada: excellent, I wonder why this isn't an out of the box functionality already.
  • (2025-01-01) Radek Schejbal: Hello, first of all, thank you for the great app. I have a question - do I have to turn it on every time I turn on the device? Or does it somehow run in the background? Thank you.
  • (2024-05-01) Jörn Gehring: This should be included in every Chromebook. Thanks for putting the effort in.
  • (2024-04-04) Sarah Jackman: Love this app and have been using it for years. It's very set-it & forget-it, which I like. The only problem I've been having recently is that for some reason it doesn't work as well with the ChromeOS's option for syncing system accent colors to the photos. Before it wasn't a problem, but now it's like the whole system will momentarily flicker into light mode when Shufflepaper updates the wallpaper. This doesn't happen if I toggle accent colors off, but I like them and wish that Shufflepaper played well with the option again.
  • (2024-01-01) Swiggy: Friggin fantastic! Thank you!!
  • (2023-08-19) Jacque G: This app works great. I've been using it for about a year without any problems. I like that I can add photos to my target folder and they become available immediately, I don't need to re-select the folder for the app to notice the changes. This does everything I want. For me, it's just set it and forget it. Lovely.
  • (2023-08-17) Sin Sefia: Defeating the purpose, not only does it lack the standard "Fit" / ... "Fill" (whichever enlarges, shrinks; zooms in or out of images so that their border's match those of your screen's) option in "wallpaper layout," the "Center" option there is somewhat redundant with "Stretch," as it just stretches the images anyway. I believe center is supposed to be "Fit" (or maybe it was "Fill," even devs don't seem to know which is which) since it, almost luckily, doesn't just leave images at their original resolution alone, or, at least not its ... default viewing size and shape ... zoom unlike similar app's "Center" option where in-which if the images are smaller than your resolution, they just stay at that size. Because it doesn't do that classic center, but instead stretches the image, I believe ShufflePaper's "Center" was intended to fill the role of "Fill," and wound up surprising me with its high rating but not its low rating count. However, I can say that ShufflePaper seems to freeze less often than similar apps from the Google Play Store (I don't see others on the Web Store) i.e. I've not been stuck on the same image perpetually until manually resolving when I use ShufflePaper nor does it fail to find folders in a normal folder way (because it is designed with Chromebook in mind, so I can say that much for it. You just have to have all your images in the source folder wallpaper shaped already. it will not make them match the height or width (whichever comes first) of your wallpapers, it will stretch them if centered, the closest thing ShufflePaper has to "Fill" or "Fit" as far as I can determine. It is an odd omission, so do be aware that it's not just you if you encounter this issue i.e. if you're using your Chromebook in a normal landscape manner expecting to see the most standard option; "Fit" ... "Fill." PS: Oh and another good thing about ShufflePaper, it seems to be kept up to date or maintained.
  • (2022-11-17) Rene Pieters: Absolutely brilliant. I really like the timing and shuffling options. It does exactly what it promises to, and does it well. I do have one feature request: is it possible to have the scaling options (croppped, stretched, centered) applied immediately, rather than to the next image? With some pictures, that can give surprising differences. Other than that, thank you very much. I like what you made.
  • (2022-08-26) John: does exactly what its suppose to do. thank you
  • (2022-02-24) Spence: Did what it was supposed to do, but not open source. Kinda a shame there Edit: open source let's go :D
  • (2021-12-24) Arius L: LOVE this app but it's been failing lately.. It's been turning itself off which means the pics don't change..I have to go in and slide the buttons over again by hand.. It's happening several times a week now. For many months it worked like a charm (except the time period for each pic always lasts 3x longer than I set it for).. but now it just shuts off and I have to reset it.. Hope master designer of this gets a fix for this !
  • (2021-04-25) Thor Windsland: cant find anything better
  • (2021-03-02) Edin Avila Calix: Really useful, I love it!
  • (2020-12-10) Steve Clement: I have been looking for something like this on Chrome OS. I love this and it works so well. I wish it could have some sort of fade transition between the wallpapers, but that's just me nit picking. Other then that it works great, I'm happy with it. Thanks!!
  • (2020-11-30) Dragoş Dumitriu: It does what it says, and it does it well.
  • (2020-10-11) Julian Capudoy: how do i delete this app
  • (2020-09-07) Casey Evans: I can finally have multiple wallpapers without having to go and change it every time. This app is just so convenient!
  • (2020-01-07) The X-Blade Master: its good but i'm having problems switching between the 3 modes (stretch, centered, centered+cropped). can you fix it or help me plz.
  • (2020-01-03) Simon Trimbee: works great!!
  • (2019-12-16) Marnix Kappeyne: Really added the finishing touch to my Chromebook really thankful! Only thing I'm missing (or maybe I'm just stupid) is having it change every time I lock/ close it.
  • (2019-10-29) Zachary Takiff: Thank you so much I have been looking over the chrome store for an app that let you switch between your own images during regular time intervals. My dream of rotating through various minimalist wallpapers has been achieved. Great app. Works well. What more do I need to say?
  • (2019-08-30) NoAds Guest: AMAZING app, I have a folder on my Google Drive with 480 beautiful pictures, that now rotate as my background, very relaxing and nice. Thank you for the app. The latest update is even better! I've been using this for at least a year, and have really enjoyed it, you make all my chomebooks / Chromeboxes and Chromebases so much more enjoyable.
  • (2019-05-12) Eric Sellers: Simple to use app that does what ChromeOS should do out of the box. Thanks for working to resolve the issues with the previous version.👍
  • (2019-04-30) Joanne M: This app is perfect for my needs, but it is not working at all. I selected a Google Drive folder with only images in it, set it to randomized, and set a time interval of 1 minute. However, it does not change at all from the wallpaper I had before downloading the app, and manually refreshing doesn't do anything either.
  • (2019-04-03) Josh: It looks like a cool app, but it doesn't work
  • (2018-11-09) Mad Grenn: Been using this application for a while now and have had no issues what so ever. It seems to be one of the few applications that actually shuffle between the photos you have in the folder you select. Now all I need to do is figure out a way to get the right size photos for my wallpapers so they are not cut off, or too small. But that is not an app issue more of a chrome and photo issue. Good Job Phillip great app.
  • (2018-08-07) Nick McBride: Have been searching for this for ages, love it! If you could make it use a Google Photos album, or even a list of links to downloadable files as a source it would be perfect! P.S. The previous comment about the Chrome syncable file system is correct, it gets uploaded there but it only seems to store the currently used picture, not the entire history. It shows up on my Quick Access.
  • (2018-07-18) John S: Philipp, Just a quick note to say THANK YOU for your ShufflePaper program. My senior Mom lives alone and her new Chromebook stays open on the table next to her favorite chair so that I can communicate with her via Skype every day. But when we are not on Skype together it just sits there doing nothing. With your program, I was able to turn Mom's Chromebook into a slide show of her favorite family pictures so that she would feel less alone when we are not actually speaking. Wish I could give it a 100 star rating! You made a widowed mother...and her son...very, very happy. Thanks again, John S.
  • (2018-05-25) Richard Holmes: Seems to work as advertised, but has a bad side effect. Wallpapers when selected end up copied into my Google Drive in the Chrome Syncable FileSystem folder. From there, at least with my setup, they are copied into my Google Photos. I end up with Google Photos spammed with multiple copies of all my wallpapers. Probably not the fault of ShufflePaper but is due to how ChromeOS works; still, using this app messes up my Google Photos, so I will disable and delete.
  • (2018-04-28) Jim Adwell: Works great! Now if you could implement changing the wallpaper by double-tapping the desktop, that would be truly awesome, and would facilitate your elevation to Chromebook God. :)
  • (2018-03-01) Sarah M. Wheeler: haha you have no idea how HAPPY I am to find this app and that it actually works! THANK YOU FOREVER
  • (2018-02-16) Olivia Rose: Excellent app, great layout, responsive, wonderful. ChromeOS definitely needs this feature, thank you for the app! I would love an option to select how to adjust the image to the screen (such as Center, Fill, Fit, Stretch, etc.) Some of my wallpapers are much bigger than my resolution, and I would prefer to see the whole picture instead of just part of it. AMAZING!!! You updated that so incredibly fast! Thank you!
  • (2017-11-12) Bryan: Love this app. quite simplistic and does exactly what it says it does.
