Storytop is a free app that lets students create cartoon style stories with a simple drag and drop interface. An account is not needed in order to create stories and share them with friends.
Note: this is the Chrome app version. A Chrome web version is available as well.
To build a story, the student selects a category of clip art from the left side panel and drags the desired image to the palette. Images may be moved around the palette and resized. Text boxes can be added to fill in the story dialog.

- (2017-01-24) Laura Brain: I love the easiness of the app. Students do not get lost in adding text and pictures and can focus on creating their story. However, I wish there was a way to upload your own photos to make it more specific to what you are writing about!
