Using this plugin you can access Arduino-like devices, and serial ports in general, and program any Arduino-compatible device from your browser.
Combine this with the codebender [1] Arduino IDE, to develop faster, and easier, without installing and managing software from multiple computers, and easily transfer your sketch/program to your Arduino.
Win 8/8.1 USERS:
Unfortunately, the Chrome Store doesn’t allow you to download NPAPI plugins for Windows 8/8.1. Don’t worry, you can just download and install it from here [2].
NOTICE: Because the plugin runs outside the “sandbox”, the Chrome store gives you a really scary warning about permissions. Actually, the plugin only needs permissions to access your serial/usb devices.

- (2013-06-17) Adam Brown: This plugin caused the codebender website to be unresponsive when trying to code. I suspect an update in the functionality is needed. Windows 7 NO arduino plugged in (I didn't try to compile or upload the sketch)
- (2013-05-10) It looks good but requires permission to access all files on your computer and all web sites you visit. That's a lot of permission to grant. Better description is needed to explain why this is necessary.
