This is a beautiful simulation of one of the first Gansberg Clocks.
A Gansberg Clock (or Gansberg Device) is a term now used for any machine that indicates the passing of 'tween times. These are times where the walls of the gaol are at their thinnest, and strange events can happen naturally, or be forced by the hand of humans.
The first such device was a mantle-clock devised by Elias Gansberg in the 1930s. As well as telling the time, and showing the day, month and date, three other dials set into its face showed the phase of the moon, the daily cycle of dawn, noon, dusk and midnight, and the solar holidays on the wheel of the year.

- (2017-06-30) Kate Quinn: I see recent comments of the clock not working, but it's working fine for me on 2 PCs.. Below is a comment I made a long while ago:: The bell icon in the top left corner needs to be Xd out for the second hand to go. Otherwise the current time is displayed when opened but the second hand doesn't advance. = not working. ------------------------ An uninstall then reinstall may help, launching it fresh. . After installation & launching it just now on a 2nd PC, it is working with the bell icon X'd out already. . . That's not because of Chrome synching--since my apps & extensions were NOT synched to the 2nd PC
- (2017-06-09) David R Thurber: I loved this clock and really enjoyed it while it was being supported by the author (and had the audio). I still run the clock periodically and find it interesting to watch. I love clocks like this.
- (2017-03-07) Michael Hanson: I've downloaded and installed this app three times. It does NOT run. I get one click of the second hand, then it stops.
- (2016-05-18) Evangeline Marsden: Worked one time -just after installation, now get one tick on opening....aaand it stops. :(

- (2014-11-14) Fay Rowland: doesn't work. Just a picture of a static clock. No clicks work. No help, no instructions. Just a static picture :-(

- (2014-08-06) Soham Ashodiya: Doesn't work
- (2014-07-19) Iddy Shotz: I really like this app. There are buttons in the upper left and right hand corners to mute the tick and help. Very nice but i'd really love to see it as like a live wallpaper for my desktop without chrome being open. It really is attractive without being too pretty.
- (2014-06-20) Sindile Wren: INSTRUCTIONS: "The strange events happen when the dials line up between the golden guides located on the top of the clock-face." To be clearer when yr 3 golden circles on the main face are in alignment a straight line connects them but this unbroken line must be visible between the top part of the guide (looks like a golden "V" kind of and is always in the north-most position of the clock). This is a rare occurrence but is the very powerful window known as the "tween time", the time when we are closest to other planes or "gaol". Hope this helps those of you who were as puzzled as I was as to how to read it but could find nothing on it anywhere!! It is beautiful & accurate but doesn't get 5 stars from me until it offers help or CLEAR info on how to read it.
- (2014-04-12) Patricia Bess: I loved this, even with the loud ticking it was really a joy to have. I tried to set it as Wallpaper, but not able. As soon as I had to go to another page, it was lost and each time I try and download it again, it just isn't there.. So sad, what am I doing wrong?
- (2013-11-27) Mingzhang Yang: If this is a packaged app with a stand-alone window, it will be perfect.
- (2013-05-12) Thom Hastings: Amazing app! I wish the "Lost Foundry" long opening screen wouldn't happen, however.
- (2013-04-13) I love it. Is there a way to use it as a screensaver?
- (2013-02-13) Les “LesG007” G: Wonderful device. Accurate, as well as beautiful! Way to go!
- (2012-11-06) Kurt Flint: I absolutely LOVE it. Works perfectly, but is a biit mysterious at first because it seems to have trouble getting click messages. None the less, since the only things to click on are the help and the sound buttons. Lovely.
- (2012-09-27) Rob B: It overfills the screen and there seems to be no settings to adjust it.
