This CSS-only extension hides most persistent generative AI elements from Google properties, including Search, Docs, Drive, and GMail. Note that this extension only hides UI elements; it does not affect any backend calls or disable the product in its entirety. To avoid potential compatibility issues, it does not attempt to hide one-time promotional messages (like the first time “try using Gemini for X” popups) and only focuses on hiding the main persistent UI elements that activate the product.
Current limitations:
- Cannot hide elements within the Google Docs <canvas> (e.g. the “help me write” that appears on a blank Document)
- Cannot hide things in Google Earth (it’s all one big <canvas>)
- Probably more? Feedback appreciated. Many of the items that I’ve hidden were first reported by users like you!

- Thanks for this extension - it saved my day. I have ADHD and Google constantly shoving "Help me write" in my face was always interrupting my workflow. The effect after the extension was like removing world's most uncomfortable shoe. I have a "feature request": would be possible to have a toggle to turn on/off the extension (or individual items)? I rarely use Gemini on Docs (mostly to "fix formatting" after copy-paste from other places), but my co-workers do use it more heavily.

- Absolutely amazing. I hate seeing the icon everywhere. However it doesn't remove the "generate document" feature and some other popups. Still, a massive improvement.

- Using Vivaldi and it doesn't work. The horrible AI button is still sitting there wasting space.

- Writing some fiction and got a little grey text pop up to tell me it could write for me, something I could have easily accidentally clicked. I found this and installed it, refreshed the google doc page and this worked IMMEDIATELY. Thank you!

- I love this extension, gets rid of all things AI slop that google keeps shoving our faces on. However there is this one problem... when I search up something on google... it sometimes shows me this stupid thing called "What people are saying" which shows me some random stuff from random people I don't want to see. It's also generated by AI... which I also hate. Idk if u noticed that yet, but that's something I've only seen just recently today. Do you think you can be able to remove that? Sorry if I didn't worded my review correctly.

- Hi! As far as I can tell, this got rid of everything except for the gemini icon in gmail (the one that this extension has a picture showing of). When I first open gmail, the settings/goole apps/support icons are there, but then the gemini one pops up when it finishes loading. I wonder if other people are having this problem? I restarted but no change. Thank you!

- I love this add on, it's excellent and works great. One quick thing though, is there any chance to have this work on Google docs too? The Gemini ai button and notification keeps popping up, and I'm hoping there's a way to bypass that. Thanks!! :-)

- This extension has worked perfectly for quite a while but I have just noticed Gemini has crept back into the top bars on Gmail and Google Sheets. The extension is greyed out in my extensions list like it is disabled, but I have ensured I haven't disabled it. Also tried reinstalling it and it doesn't seem to have helped.

- I had issues with other AI blocker extension for google searches, this is the one that works, and looks to be updated often, so you should be okay going into the future.
