The ion8 Call Connector browser extension is a call pop that allows users to easily make calls, view clients’ contextual information, and take notes directly without opening the application. Once installed and configured, the call pop becomes a part of the Dialpad app.
When a call is received, the call pop pulls up the caller’s information if an associate lead is available in Clio. The call pop displays the contact’s contextual information along with any notes if available. When an unrecognized caller comes in, their information can be saved as a Lead or associated with an existing Contact. The user can also create notes and follow-up tasks to make sure the next steps required after the call are not forgotten. Call Connector also stores AI-generated call summaries in the call log.

- (2025-07-01) Jason Sadow: Ion8 and Clio have no working integration. Clio support blames Ion8. Ion8 blames Clio. They are both about worthless when it comes to support. If you can actually get the applications to tie together, and good luck with that, the automated entries come over as non-billable. There is no way to change this. You still have the pleasure of manually going into every entry to actually switch them over. More amusingly, the integrated pop up covers over the chat box in Clio so you are unable to use it while trying to simultaneously get help from Clio. While it is typical of Clio support, releasing poorly developed, untested, and usually unworkable solutions, this one takes the cake.
