Highlights attacked and hanging pieces, attackers, defenders, and potential movement squares.
This extension is designed to provide an enhanced learning experience for beginner and intermediate chess players on chess.com. Acting as "training wheels" for people new to the game, it offers visual aid that help players improve their understanding of chess fundamentals.
Default Features:
🔹 Highlight Hanging & Attacked Pieces
Automatically identify which squares are hanging and under attack by you and your opponent.
Additional Features:
🔹 Highlight Movements (Safe, Attacked, Hanging)
See which squares are safe, attacked, or will leave your piece hanging before you make your move. Additionally, squares that result in stalemate or checkmate are highlighted.
🔹 Highlight All Attacking & Defending Pieces
Select (right-click) any square on the board to highlight its attackers and defenders.
🔹 Evaluation Bar (still testing)
Intended as a feature to give players hints in case they are missing something very obvious. It does not recommend moves.
Note: Do not use Piece Animations: 'Natural' and 'Arcade'. For some features to work, the 'Highlight Moves' and 'Show Legal Moves' settings need to be turned on.
