- UPDATE 2.0: OK, Socrates is a real one--he actually took the time to email and troubleshoot with me! WHAT! Top-notch, this is someone who really cares about making his product the best for all users. And if I'd just trusted my instincts and uninstalled/reinstalled the extension in the first place, I wouldn't have had a single problem. UPDATE January 2026: OK, I don't know what happened, but now there are only mouse click options (left click, middle click, or right click)--there's no way to click and drag anymore, which was my whole reason for using this extension in the first place. Guess I'm looking for a another Linkclump replacement again..... March 2025: Seamless transition from Linkclump! I got the notification this morning that Linkclump is no longer supported on Chrome and I was not happy about it. After some searching, I found out about Grabbit, and let me tell you, I don't even notice the change! I set my options exactly as I had them in Linkclump and it's been SMOOTH AS SILK

- I do not understand why people would leave negative reviews on this extension. The source code is literally open for everyone to see. The developer is super transparent and answered my questions by email. Keep it up, Socrates! Literally the best extension for this case out there! From a fellow dev that reviewed the entire code! It's super safe.

- why is it asking for these permissions now? Read and change your browsing history on all your signed-in devices Read and modify data you copy and paste that seems weird for clicking on links....

- Was looking for LinkClump alternatives since that extension wasn't updated to MV3 and - at that time sometime last year - there weren't any alternatives that had the same core functionality or were as light weight as Grabbit. As of now there are a few alternatives to Grabbit that offer the same functionality as the original LinkClump, but not all of them run without issue or provide GitHub links for transparency, and Grabbit provides options for additional functionality/customization which are actually useful - not just bloat. The author also seems to be very responsive to feedback. For instance, like others I was worried about the recent permissions request for reading and changing browser history, as I'd used extensions in the past that were ultimately hijacked, but as with other issues I've noticed with Grabbit, the author has updated the extension to address these concerns: https://github.com/socratespap/Grabbit/blob/main/changelog.md#version-352-changelog (as of right now the Chrome extension still requests history access, but I imagine the new version is still in the queue to be updated on the Chrome Web Store...)

- Used to use this and enjoyed the features that made it simple and flexible including delays on link opening, etc. This is now asking for permissions to read change browsing history on all signed in devices and.. yeah, no thanks. No explanation from the dev on what changed and why this is necessary all of a sudden that I can see on the github.

- Good!
- Sarmad Sadi
- Very useful! it I can perfectly make a selection on screen that opens the links within it. There's also a cool feature to put a delay between links openings to prevent restrictions

- Christopher Markieta
- Stopped working after v3.1.1 update. Can't trigger selection anymore. On Fedora, Chrome Version 143.0.7499.169 (Official Build) (64-bit) (Updated to 5 stars for rapid response from developer)

- I had hard time to make it work with the shortcut that not detecting automatically. For some reason didnt work well but when I figured out it is my daily companion. Thanks

- I would like to suggest an improvement to the current functionality. Adding a powerful filter tool would significantly enhance usability. Specifically, I propose two filter types: - Negative Keyword/Symbol Filter: A filter that allows users to exclude links containing a list of specified undesirable words or symbols. - Advanced Pattern Matching: The inclusion of a filter based on Regular Expressions (RegEx) for highly customizable and precise pattern matching.

- garbage and a waste of time
- Steven Farrell
- Doesn't work at all.
- Matthew Benevento
- Doesn't work in the history window, which I used to open specific tabs from other devices. There's a couple other QoL issues that others have mentioned in their reviews, otherwise, seems like the closest thing to linkclump that's available right now.

- Great replacement for LinkClump!! A life saver!!
- Jakeukalane Milegum Firisse
- Doesn't do anything
- Corey Zamara
- Quite a good replacement for LinkClump however it is missing 1 critical feature which LinkClump had which is the ability to filter certain keywords. As an example, sometimes when you are hovering over multiple items there can be tags or anchors like 'unsubscribe' what happens currently is I get both links opened, when I did not want the unsubscribe link but because it's overlayed I can't box select the links without hitting that unsubscribe anchor.
- Ioo
- It works, plus a convenient menu by clicking the icon. It's a pity that you didn't solve the problem: when open links are not grayed out. They don't become "viewed"
- Aaron Blalack
- Pretty good. Would give it 5 stars if I could set the action to right-click, and still right-click links. As it is, there's no delay or check for dragging motion, so a right-click simply opens the links in new tabs as though I had selected them with rclick+drag

- doesn't work....

- This is indeed the best alternative to Linkclump, but it's missing a critical feature: the real "Smart Select". For example, I used the extension to open multiple topics on a forum, and it would only select the topic titles to open. Instead, using Grabbit, it opens all links: topics, author, last poster, tags, etc. It multiplies the opened, useless URLs. Linkclump's Smart Select => The feature "tries to select only important links". Grabbit's Smart Select => The feature only "removes duplicate URLs" which was a completely separate checkbox feature in Linkclump.

- A great alternative to the now-incompatible Linkclump. Love the customing, but the tutorial should have said that you have to select a keyboard key for it to function. On top of that, you have to hold said key before you use the mouse; also, you have a very limited selection of keys to use. So you can't just pick a random key that you wouldn't use for anything else and use that. Otherwise, it's a great tool!
- Jeremy Syddall
- The best alternative to LinkClump that I've found so far! Works just as well, if not better:-) Thanks devs for creating such a useful tool!!!
- Đăng Trần
- It's Linkclump and more.
- Furio Sassi
- Fantastic extension, only flaw is that it doesn't have the function to export the created rules.
- Catherin Watkins
- I miss Linkclump, this does not work. Will not create a drag box.
- Chris Dee
- Quick and easy set up.
- Christina Roberts
- Very close to Linkclump but missing a key feature for me. The ability to exclude certain links if they have a certain word/letter combination. I used linkclump to highlight a large selection of links that often include links to things I don't need, but linkclump let me exclude those links easily. Grabbit is simple and had about everything else I would need except that ability to exclude. So unfortunately for me, I can't use this for what I need.

- linkclump was better

- The only proper alternative to Linkclump, THANK YOU!

- Does not seem to work. Looking to right-click and drag a box around links to open them... no luck.
