- (2025-05-19) Yun Ysi Siew: Sorry for giving a 3-star review. No matter what youtube videos I played (with subtitles), the cc button of deepsrt never shows up. It only says "No captions available. This could mean either captions are not enabled or the requested language is not available.". I read the github website that you shared in the previous post, but it doesn't help. Unfortunately I had to remove it.

When I am watching a YouTube video and click on your CC button, I do not get any closed captions appear on the video, nothing happens at all, please can you advise how I can make this work. You also have permission to read and change details on sites I visit which I have noticed all the live caption extensions have, however, yours is the only one which also insists on permission to view my full browsing history? Please can you advise why it is that yours is the only live captions extension that needs access to look at all websites I have ever visited? I am guessing this is non essential for any of the functionality you require so please can you advise how I can block this permission if I wish if possible. Thanks very much indeed for your time.
