Trailer Protection: Your Shield Against Spoilers and Over-revealing Trailers
Just refresh the page when you open a trailer on YouTube to see the reports!
Have you ever watched a movie trailer and felt like you've already seen the entire movie—plot twists, major reveals, and even the ending? well I know I have. Over the years, I’ve seen countless comments on YouTube complaining about trailers that give away crucial plot points, major twists, or just spoil the entire movie. It’s frustrating to get excited for a film, and want to have the trailer entice you even more, only to have it ruin the entire film.
That's why I created Trailer Protection, a Chrome extension designed to give you control over your trailer experience. With this tool, you can flag trailers as:
Amazing – When a trailer does its job, leaving you intrigued and excited, without spoiling the movie.
Too Much – When the trailer reveals way more than it should, almost making you feel like you've already seen the film.
Spoilers – When a trailer blatantly gives away key moments or plot twists that should have been a surprise.
Not only can you submit your reports, but you’ll also get to see how other users are feeling about each trailer. Trailer Protection displays the percentage of users who have flagged a trailer for each category, so you can make an informed decision about whether to watch it or skip it.
No more worrying about spoilers or over-revealing trailers—Trailer Protection helps keep your movie-watching experience as fresh and exciting as it should be!
