We are offering this extension for capturing screenshots of the active tab. This editor features an intuitive graphical user interface for seamless image editing. It includes built-in tools to rotate, flip, zoom, and crop images based on user selection. Additionally, it supports annotations such as rectangles, ellipses, lines, text, and freehand drawings. A key feature is the ability to apply a blur effect to specific areas, making it easy to hide sensitive or personal information while editing.
Below are the End-User Capabilities in the Image Editor-
1. Opening an Image
- Click the "Open" icon in the toolbar.
- Only JPEG, PNG, and JPG files are supported.
- Select an image from the file explorer.
2. Zooming
- Toolbar: Use the zoom options (enabled after opening an image).
- Touch: Pinch with two fingers to zoom in or out.
- Mouse Wheel: Hold "Ctrl" and scroll to zoom.
- Keyboard: Press "Ctrl" + "+" to zoom in, "Ctrl" + "-" to zoom out.
3. Panning
- Click and drag the image to move it.
- Enabled when cropping or when the image exceeds the canvas size after zooming.
4. Cropping & Image Transformation
- Click the crop button to open the selection toolbar.
- Choose a selection type (custom, circle, square, ratio).
- Pan to adjust the selection, then click the tick icon to crop.
- Use rotate and flip options to transform images.
5. Annotations & Z-Order Support
- Click the annotation button and choose from Line, Rectangle, Ellipse, Path, Arrow, Text, or Freehand.
- Move, resize, and rotate annotations (except text).
- Customize annotations (color, stroke width, font, size).
- Quick access toolbar allows duplicating, deleting, and editing annotations.
- Z-Order Support: Adjust the layering of annotations, which is useful for designing templates like greeting cards or posters.
6. Redact Support (Blur & Pixelate)
- Users can blur or pixelate specific areas to hide sensitive information.
- Helps protect privacy and comply with data protection regulations.
7. Filtering & Fine-Tuning
- Click "Fine-Tune" to adjust brightness, contrast, etc., using sliders.
- Click "Filter" to apply predefined effects.
- Click on the canvas or tick icon to confirm changes.
8. Undo & Redo
- Undo (Ctrl + Z) and Redo (Ctrl + Y) available after performing actions.
- Buttons are on the left side of the toolbar.
9. Reset Image
- Click "Reset" to revert all changes.
10. Exporting an Image
- Click "Save" to store the edited image.
- Use "Ctrl + S" for quick save.
- Choose the file type before saving.
