What's new in version 2.9.2:
[Added] Integration with the new Assistant
For a while now we develop AdGuard Assistant more or less independently, to later use it wherever we need — Windows and Mac apps use regular Assistant, Android and iOS apps use mobile version. Browser extension users encounter Assistant when they click "Block ads on this website" button. We will not go into the details here, those who interested can find the exhaustive changelog inside the Assistant repo.
[Improved] InsertCSS to use instead of the content scripts
There was a certain change in Chrome browser recently, that prompted us to respond by reconsidering the way we inject scripts and styles. The good thing is, thanks to this change we now have less bugs, more possibilities and were even able to make the extension more lightweight by reducing the amount of code.
[Improved] ExtendedCss has been updated to v1.10
This change is on the technical side, but from the end user perspective it converts into better performance and better quality ad blocking, thanks to more tools being available to the extension now.

- This is the best ad blocker I have used. I have tried others but none compar to this one. I can watch YouTube without ever seeing a single ad. I can go into movies sites that usally open page after page just to watch a move but with this Ad Guard I never have to worry of any other pages opening. Of couse some websites require you to disable it in order to access there the webpages but for the most part you can always keep it on and never worry about intrusive ads ever again.

- With advertisements being as bothersome as they are. With the ability to skip being so seldom the option. You're left with little choice but to go by an adblocker and only a select few that prove worthwhile. Luckily, this extension proves itself to be one of those select few that is worth installing. While not without issue it's still effective at filtering all the ads in most platforms you'd find them on the web of today. Even works with some that are DRM protected. Just remember that a site without ads is not always going to be a site that works. Times that functionality is what you'll be sacrificing to get the ad-free experience unfortunately. Let's not forget that some websites will not allow you to use their site at all unless you disable the extension. So unbearable since donations should provide them with more than enough income as-is. Remember, although it's ad-free doesn't mean that it's buffer-free. Gonna need to get a separate extension for that. Better option really is to just pay the flat fee direct from the service to get the official ad-free experience. Be the fee one that is single or even recurring. Best option of all is to have it downloaded for offline usage while in digital storage. Understandable that people have to earn money for their work...but also understandable that other people shouldn't have to break the bank just to benefit from it. Especially with work that should be done not as a primary source of income but rather as a supplemental source only. This review is only applying to the browser extension since the desktop application would be a different matter all its own. Hard to find an adblocker that's free that's working. Such a shame this isn't open source otherwise it'd probably be better. Not an excellent product but not a terrible product either. I'd rate it as 3.5 stars if it were an option because honestly it's just that...it's okay.

- One of the best ad blockers for mobile and laptop devices. I use a personal VPN like ExpressVPN with its add-on, but even that can't block the ads this tool can. Awesome!

- I've used ad guard for as long as I can remember. Every time I go to update chrome however, it completely BREAKS. It does not work, despite previously working mere seconds ago. The extension takes a while to load and even then, it can still break.

- I got like 100k ad blocks and I love it, on websites where there are ads, its just empty space, slightly annoying, but DAMN 100k ad blocks, love it. Thank you for the development team for making adguard, and anyone who contributed to it's creation!

- Doesn't block anything from Facebook (in fact, it breaks FB and causes the pages to just disappear). The daily updates consume so much disk space that I finally got tired of it and just dumped it all together.

- I have AdGuard on my pc and every time I sign into Facebook there are ads! It's so annoying! I have to update AdGuard every time and F5 Facebook to stop this (but only for a little while). - An old NoScript and Adblocker/Ghostery user here. Must admit. I like working with Ad guard. Ehanced with the Proton VPN, Webroot, and Duck Duck go etentions. It is quite formidable when placed within a Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 ecosystem. Dont do this with anything other than Chrome. Not sure if it is all compatible otherwise

- I think using this with brave browser was the best choice I ever made. ( it blocked ads, trackers and other phishing website from stealing your data and you can even customize it to your preferences, I would highly recommend it to someone who is super concern about their privacy. if you want strong security you can download brave browser and use it together.

- This blocker's filters have a lot of problems, they often cause loading and other features in sites like facebook and notion etc. Notification was not opening on facebook, and the site also wasnt opening due to other filters
