Form autofill on steroids.

Image from store Autofill
Description from store The Autofill extension serves one purpose: fill form fields automatically on page load without any user interaction. This is its primary function, but it can do so much more. Chrome has a built-in autofill feature, but it doesn't work on all fields and requires you to select from a drop-down menu. Even if you're happy with Chrome's autofill, give this extension a try for more automation and power at your fingertips. FEATURES ⋆ Set and forget — fill out forms in ZERO clicks! There's also a manual mode. ⋆ Ultimate control — autofill text input fields, textarea fields, password fields, hidden fields, HTML5 inputs, and WYSIWYG edit boxes (rich text editors); autoselect dropdown menus and listboxes; autocheck checkboxes and radio buttons; autoclick buttons and links, autosubmit forms, and other automations using JavaScript/jQuery. ⋆ Form fields wizard — use the infobar to automatically generate autofill rules for you without having to look at the HTML code. ⋆ Easy to manage — create, sort, and duplicate profiles to better organize your autofill rules. ⋆ Quick access — add autofill rules using the toolbar icon or right-click context menu. Execute rules using hotkeys or the context menu. ⋆ Peace of mind — automatically save text fields in case Chrome crashes. ⋆ Regular Expressions — use powerful text matching patterns to identify fields to autofill. ⋆ Text clips — insert boilerplate text snippets in text fields. ⋆ Variables — use special variables to reference other field values, increment/decrement numbers, output random data (numbers, alphanumeric characters, words from a set), and output same text in multiple rules. ⋆ Site filters — restrict autofilling on a per-site or per-page basis. ⋆ Exceptions — specify pages or entire websites to exclude from Autofill (blacklist). ⋆ Import/Export — back up your autofill rules and settings. Restore your data from a local or remote file. You can also import your data into the Autofill add-on for Firefox. ⋆ Keyboard shortcuts — navigate Options using the mouse or the keyboard for improved accessibility. ⋆ Localized — Portuguese (Portugal) and Simplified Chinese supported. Translate Autofill into your local language if it's not currently listed. PRIVACY & SECURITY Autofill does not track your browsing history in any way, nor does it transmit any data over the internet. All data remains on your local hard disk drive at all times. However, the data saved by this extension is NOT encrypted, so any data you save remains in the clear, although it will remain on your hard drive and only someone who knows where to look and has physical access to your hard drive would be able to access it. Your activities are also not monitored by Google Analytics or equivalent tracking tags. PERMISSIONS The following permissions are required by this extension: ⋆ host (http://*/*, https://*/*, file://*/*) — allow Autofill to operate on all non-secure pages, secure pages, and local files. This permission displays the warning "Read and change all your data on the websites you visit". Technically, Autofill has to be able to "read" the data (to detect form fields) and "change" the data as well (to fill out the form for you); however, Autofill does not and will never track your browsing history. ⋆ contextMenus — add Autofill to the right-click context menu. This permission displays no warning message. ⋆ storage — store data on your hard drive. This permission displays no warning message. ⋆ unlimitedStorage — allow unlimited storage (without this permission you would only be able to store 5 MB of data). This permission displays no warning message. ⋆ webNavigation — detect when a web page is loaded to reset the icon badge count. This permission displays the warning "Read your browsing history" (Autofill does not and will never track your browsing history). WHAT'S NEW - Added Text Clips tab - Added ability to insert text clip into contentEditable fields (v9.5.3) - Optimized import functions - Fixed text clip issue if title contains spaces (v9.5.3) - Fixed text clip JavaScript errors (v9.5.3) - Fixed broken wizard infobar on some sites (v9.5.6) - Fixed not able to save updated password values (v9.5.6) - Fixed error messaging on Form Fields tab (v9.5.6)

The author really needs to make a better tutorial and not leave out so much. For instance, I want to click a button on a website. <button type="button" name="test2" onclick="console.log('\'Test 2\' button clicked.')">Test 2</button> Type = JavaScript Value = document.querySelector('button[name="test2"]').click(); This is the type of thing it tells you, that's nice, just one problem. <div class="mountain" onclick="soloq('36427')">Play Again</div> How do I make an autoclicker for this? There is no explanation of how to use something like class or onclick, non whatsoever. Fix your guide dammit.

  • (2020-07-23) Joey Zhao: Totally useless. Never auto fill any field. They even don't provide a manual fill button. And is there any human working on this extension nowadays? This issue has been raised since 2018 and they never think about fix it.
  • (2020-07-21) Matthew Paris: Super powerful autofill tool that can handle most fill-in and radio button fields but not perfectly intuitive at first. I think a lot of people get confused by the fact that you need to set it to the "All" profile if you're storing multiple websites worth of data. Otherwise it may not autofill as expected. I especially like that I can add javascript to my fill-ins for generating unique usernames/passwords on test accounts, and that the fill-ins can be backed up (Though the backup tool isn't perfect). Has saved me hundreds of hours of tedious manual entry at this point.
  • (2020-07-21) electronics rus: Mostly works as expected, although couldn't manage to get the JavaScript working -- used the help section and put in dead simple JS scripts but no change

  • (2020-03-29) Bud Reagan: Looks like it would be good for computer nerds but not for the those who are used to truly automatic form fillers similar to password programs like Lastpass where there is no steep learning curve. I don't want to do a ton of programming.
