FAQ
Q: How can I add my own links and images?
A: Unlock the grid, then click on an empty tile. This will open the tile editor to allow you to start customizing.
Q: Can I remove the stock widgets from the home screen?
A: Of course! Unlock the grid using the padlock icon, then press the "X" icon over any tile you wish to delete. Be sure to click the red padlock to lock the page again so you can click your tiles.
Q: Can I uninstall apps with this extension?
A: Yep! Ensure your dashboard is locked (the padlock should be white/grey), open the Apps window, then click Uninstall. A confirmation will appear.
Q: Can I uninstall stock apps and widgets?
A: No, they're bundled in this extension and can not be removed or hidden currently. You can remove them from your home screen, of course. They're also listed last in the apps and widgets windows.
Q: Can I change the background color?
A: Yes, click the cog wheel to open the settings window. Click the Background Color button to open a color picker that will allow you to select any color you desire.
Q: How do I remove this extension and go back to the default Google Chrome new tab page?
A: Search Google for "how to uninstall a chrome extension" (quick hint: it's accessible from Chrome settings)

I kinda bummed because it is the only one so far I've found that let's you add bookmarks wherever you want. The other ones I've tried out only let you add bookmarks next to each other with no gaps.

- (2023-07-08) Adrian Fox: A problem I keep experiencing is that having established a whole series of icons and graphics to place on the page, they work initially when I install them, but suddenly many of them just disappear from some of items. I check and the graphic is still there in my 'icons' folder and the Awesome page is directed to the file but nothing I can do will make them appear. Has anybody else experienced this and know if there is a solution to disappearing graphics. It very much diminishes the use of the utility as otherwise I might just as well use one of the other tab pages which don't include custom graphics.

I clicked on the apps button on the left, clicked add, picked a grid square and it highlighted the square with the app logo and then nothing. I was really excited that this may be what I have been looking for but it's not currently usable.

- (2020-11-24) Vincent Langemeijer: Once you figure out how it works, it's pretty good. Most annoying thing for me was figuring out how to fit my personal background image to the screen. To save everybody else some time, you can do this by entering "center center/cover no-repeat fixed" (without quotation marks) after the background image's url.

The color picker never closes, background disappears, the tile icons reappear, row and coloumn count in settings tab keeps getting higher once you hovered over the small arrow and so on. FIX THIS bugs and it is a 5-star extension.

- (2020-08-23) Ken Win Kok: Seems like it intermittently makes your search bar Yahoo search which is really annoying because Google search knows what I expect to see when I search for things, Yahoo does not. I've tried to turn it off in the settings and extensions settings but it doesn't seem to work. Only noticed the difference when in incognito mode where I have ANTP disabled, so I've never had a problem with Yahoo search in incognito mode.
