• (2023-02-17) Lijhe: Great idea and beautiful execution. One of my favorite apps. The reviews might be more favorable if the developer made clear before installation exactly what the app does. Quite a few reviewers are upset that the notes appear every time a new tab is opened (which is like saying an apple is a bad apple because it doesn't taste like an orange.) Also, some are understandably upset that their notes disappeared after clearing their browsing data. I tested it and it didn't happen to me. So I advise testing it for yourself, and probably just to be on the safe side don't leave anything there that you'd be very sad to lose.

• (2020-03-25) Geek Mind: 3 star for now. it's functional for very TEMP notes. But two issues: 1. It would be more useful if it could sync between devices. (I'm sure that is a network security nightmare; so good luck when/if it ever gets that feature. 2. Occasionally ALL my notes get 'reset'. It's probably after a Chrome update or something; but nonetheless, don't bother keeping your 'notes' in here long term. Great for quick note space. (but might get reset back to default > and lose your notes. So only very TEMP use) Guess ultimately, it's purpose is to act like Text Edit / Notepad ... basic place to ploop very basic, non-long-term quick-notes. So ... it does what it advertises. It just would be WAY more useful if it did sync. I'd personally def pay a for that feature! (secure sync) ... (maybe it can have permission to sync with a google doc or something, in regards to the 'security' aspect of it... no need to reinvent the wheel, if there's a Google Drive/Docs API option this tool could utilize to allow it 'sync' functionality.)

• (2019-10-30) Daniela Salazar: If you want to jot something down, sure. But if you ever want to be able to see your writing DO NOT USE. Says that it saves automatically, but if you've ever had chrome shut down on you... or had your page refreshed? ALL deleted and saved absolutely nowhere. Lost a bunch of important writing bc the page refreshed on me. To the developers, either save data somewhere (give option to) OR warn people that their writing is less safe than tracing on a foggy window.
• (2019-10-24) Erik S: I honestly dont know how this extension isnt 5 stars. Ive been using it for over a month now, keeping all my due dates for university and it hasnt given me a single issue. I extremely recommend papier if you need a note pad to always be open on your laptop so you dont forget anything.

• (2019-08-23) Simon Cheam: Great extension for creative idea dumps and intermediate data processing. Unfortunately, it is not reliable for secure storage. You will lose your data with an update or browser cleanup. Make sure you save your content somewhere else so you don't lose it!
• (2019-07-17) Mybig Lenovo: Love the idea of this and loved it at first until: every time I open a new tab, up comes Papier. I don't want that. So I went to the chrome settings to change it back to my preferred 'new tab' style. So then Papier disappears. I would just like to have a single tab for Papier and the rest carry on as normal. Also, just read some of these comments about how if you clear your browsing data all the notes disappear. Sadly, I have copied all my notes made this morning into a notepad file and will be removing this extension.

• (2019-04-12) Manon van Luling: Handige app! Het enige wat ik aan te merken heb is dat ik op verschillende laptops werk. Op beide laptops ben ik ingelogd op mijn google account en ik zou het onwijs handig vinden als de aantekeningen die ik maak gesynchroniseerd worden op de verschillende laptops. Ik gebruik het namelijk voor o.a. to-do lijstjes en andere aantekeningen en ik zou het handig vinden als ik die altijd bij de hand kan hebben.
• (2019-03-19) Used this for several months, then all notes disappeared. If you clean your browser forget it - all gone. I undertand...saving your notes periodically as there is no option...but tons of notes now all zapped. This goes from my favorite/beautiful/simple app to the worst. Won't use again unless auto-save is allowed.

So if you clear any browsing data (or it seems it happened for me when I updated Chrome), you will loose everything that you think you saved! This happened to me, and I lost a ton of work. Also developer support is nonexistent. No reply to my message. Would really recommend you don't use it, or else back up regularly (but then you are basically making another system that you could use in the first place).

  Hello! The whole week I've used Papier at work Chrome, now when there's a weekend and I've opened it on my home Chrome I see no lists, no thoughts, nothing I've been working on during the week. Both Chromes are synchronized (I use my account), but why Papier is not? How can I find everything I did at work without getting back to office on Saturday? Thank you.
