- (2025-07-22) Joshua Low: Seems very useful but not intuitive enough for me.
- (2025-07-09) Halim Ansari: renames taba fantastically.
- (2025-07-08) Kristen Iverson: there are no instructions and i don't know how to use it or rename tabs. Where are the instructions? What is a rule?
- (2025-07-07) keilani conner: Does exactly as advertised. Quick Tip: Input "Name" at the Top then scroll down to "Tab Title". This is what triggers the change.
- (2025-05-16) Pranav Sarda: it is good, only annoying bug is.. it keeps creating duplicate groups with same name when pinned. i have to manually delete it otherwise they keep increasing under the url bar. Fix for now is - i removed showing tab groups under the url bar and it is good now
- (2025-04-04) Niki Haynes: Very useful! Would be more useful if I could rename different instances of the same tab, though!
- (2025-03-18) Dylan MacGregor: Modified tab icon defaults back to the website's standard icon. I refresh the rules I'm running and it fixes it back to the custom icon I assigned it, but only for 5 seconds before defaulting back to the website's standard icon.
- (2025-03-05) Dhruv Erry: Fantastic extension, exactly what I needed.
- (2025-03-04) xargs: game changer! thanks for this!
- (2025-02-10) Kim Potucek: New updated fixed it. Thank you! I rely on this extension so much.
- (2025-02-10) Wendy Hilt: no way to open or enter the program. Downloaded, only advert page shows.
- (2024-12-16) Gabriel Oliveri: Great extension. Feature-rich, easy to use, does exactly what you want it to do—and more, with things like custom icon changes! Awesome job, highly recommend.
- (2024-12-06) Thomas Lange: So long I wandered in darkness till I found you My tabs are freshly modified Labeled well and organized.... Oh had I found you earlier, you little time and sanity saver....
- (2024-12-05) MOHAMMAD SHAH: Really great Add on Thank You
- (2024-12-02) Jen-Lee Yee: Used to be a 4/4.5 star a year ago, now only a 2. :( I have been using this extension for over year now and have loved it. Especially when the icons stuck when adding to another extension/app (Toby) for my tab management so they were easily identifiable by the icon alone. In the last couple weeks - I'm thinking since the last update, but maybe even as far back as when Chrome released groups for tabs, it's not retraining the title or the icon. It isn't always consistent, but definitely if I exit the browser or have to restart it for an update. Also when Google pauses a tab for inactivity to save bandwidth, it will also revert the title and the icons. I tried just this past week to use it's group feature vs Googles native option and it does not work at all. If I click on a tab in the group it pulls it out of the group and if I try to re-add it or move it to a new group, it duplicates the group or just pulls it back out again. I actually can't even use google's native option with tab modifier now. Not sure which one is having the glitch... So while this was a 4 start app a year ago - only 4 cuz there are not enough icon options without having to use an outside source which I couldn't figure out or at least couldn't get it to work, it has now dropped to a 2. No point if there is no functionality of changes sticking. It no longer keeps the title, the icon and for probably 9-10 months stopped keeping the name and icon when adding it to Toby.
- (2024-11-27) Karen Buchanan: Name is not retained. Would be great if the new name was retained when reloading the page, but it is not.
- (2024-11-08) Nathan Ridley: Fantastic! And it's an open source project on Github and the developer seems to care about the finer details of the user experience and the quality of presentation style. Note: One of other reviewers (Yacine Hannane) mentioned an issue with losing a tab's title when refreshing the tab. This does NOT in fact seem to be an issue at all in my testing, and may either be a bug that has long since been fixed, or was a problem unique to that user's personal setup.
- (2024-11-01) Yacine Hannane: For the most part, this is a very good tool. However, there is one issue for me: When you refresh the tab, it will lose it's title. This is quite annoying in situations where you have to refresh often e.g. web development. If @developer could fix this, I would absolutely love the extension
- (2024-10-12) Marian Dragan: Just plain awesome. So useful in so many situations :) I've been using it for quite a while.
- (2024-09-24) Chris Malicdem: How can I revert back to its original tab name? Please help
- (2024-09-04) Noel Maniraguha: Impressed with the UI... Amazing functionality 💯
- (2024-09-02) Kyle Sanquist: Love this extension and will keep using it to modify my tabs. That being said, I wish there was a way to upload .ico files from your local device for the tab icons. I know there's a way to use URLs, but uploading the icons would be much easier!
- (2024-08-23) Abdelrahman KASM: So helpful extension and thanks to the develop for this excellent work
- (2024-08-20) Георги Стоянов: I've been looking for a tool just like this one with no luck until now. It works great and it is very useful. I can make a few minor remarks on the UI but nothing major.
- (2024-08-18) Jeff State: I use this extension, comprehensively, on multiple Chromium browsers. The new UI is great, and the addition of Groups has me using this extension even more. As such, my list of Rules has become quite long. For that reason, I have some feedback: 1) Within the Rules tab, make the Plus (+) icon dynamic, rather than static, so those of us with long lists can always have that button available 2) On the Rules tab, enact eate an option for the Rules tab to display entries by tab. Each tab would correspond to an individual group, which also reduces the length/scrolling for all Rules in one place. 00) It'd also be useful, without breaking out the RegEx codex, to support the single character wildcard symbol (?). In this case, the "?" symbol is dedicated as a positional wildcard dedicated to only one TBD character. Thanks for your ongoing dev work. I look forward to the next update. Cheers Edit: I also have a lot of Groups, many which relate to each other (even related in color), so it'd be useful to allow reordering Groups as is possible with Rules
- (2024-08-10) Theerapat S: This works well at Microsoft Edge. Features are cool, love its.
- (2024-07-31) Travis Stone: No problem whatsoever. Love it so far
- (2024-07-16) Jacob James: I have about 15 different automations to automatically sort my tabs into groups, it has always been very reliable.
- (2024-07-11) Cles Something: To add to the influx of bug reports in the form of negative reviews, the extension no longer saves new tab names. It still applies old rules, and allows the creation of new rules, but the contents of the 'Tab title' textbox do not save once the Save button is clicked, and there is no longer an option to rename tabs from the right-click menu. I wish a speedy resolution to these problems, and will update my review to reflect these changes.
- (2024-07-11) Tiffany Royal: I've been using this for years and have loved it. But now, all of the sudden, when I go to try and edit my settings, I just keep getting the error that Chrome has blocked it. It is not on my technology end, but an error on the extension end. My previous settings are working, but I need to update some links and things for my new fiscal year and can't get passed the dang error.
- (2024-07-11) John Smith: Previous version was perfect for my needs (5 stars). On opening a new tab, it read the URL and changed the tab name accordingly and continued to update it each time I went to a new URL In the new version this only works when you open a new tab. If navigate to various URLs in an existing tab, the tab name does not update. Also, I had to re-create my list of rules - the new version doesn't import/update the existing rules. I'm very disappointed with this change, it is a massive loss to my productivity - I hope I can find an alternative extension
- (2024-07-11) Cedric WEBER -BTWIN VILLAGE LILLE-: perfect for my need. just can't figure how to get the rename tab option
- (2024-07-10) Betsy Schwartz: No action. I gather from reading other reviews that it stopped working on recent versions of Chrome.
- (2024-07-03) David Hernandez: When I click "Rename Tab", nothing happens? Am I missing something?
- (2024-07-03) Insfire Wozniak: IT WORK
- (2024-07-01) Stuart Minion: Not working on the latest chrome currently. Had this extension for years. Love it. So simple to use. I just can't do anything with it right now.
- (2024-07-01) Edmund Vincent Dumaraog III Chaves: New version is buggy
- (2024-06-27) Thomas Vogel: Works well.
- (2024-06-26) Jack Russell: Same here, has anyone found a solution?
- (2024-06-26) Jaime Rodríguez Pirela: Same here.. stop working a couple of days ago. But Great extension and nothing found similar to this. Thanks!!!
- (2024-06-25) Brendan Roche: Edit: The icon problem seems to have been solved! Thank you guys! I mainly use this extension to set custom tab icons for work. With the recent update, it no longer lets me save custom icons. I can choose from the provided icons, but when I enter the URL for a custom one, it disappears once I hit save and the icon stays as it's default. Luckily the rules I already had have kept their custom icons, but if I try to edit them, the custom icon again disappears when I save and resets back to default. This extension has been really useful to me and I haven't found any others that let you set custom tab icons, so I really hope this bug can be fixed soon.
- (2024-06-25) Mark Rozengaus: Stopped working after only a week of blissful life. Probably Chrome update messed up the sequence in which extensions are triggered...
- (2024-06-24) Jay Neu: Stopped working after working for years :( It shows the new tab name real quick but then defaults to the original
- (2024-06-23) Si D: FIX UNIQUE TAB! This is crucial!
- (2024-06-22) Unknow0059: Lacks the feature I sought. I can't excise parts of the title, such that if I have "foobar" and "foozazz", an excision rule makes it into "bar" and "zazz".
- (2024-06-19) Du Zhihao: when I use right click "Rename Tab", the tittle of this tab is not renamed correctly, and always showing the "Rule (xxx)".
- (2024-06-18) __: Enjoying the new update but my main feature, unique, is not working at all
- (2024-06-17) David Melville: Was great but since the upgrade duplicating then editing a rule produces funky behaviour such as changes to the orginal rule or everything working once and then reverting to two copies of the original rule. It seems as though new rules with regular expressions are not working.
- (2024-06-13) Eli Or: Wow why did you rewrote the plugin from scratch? The UI before using Material Theme was working perfectly, it was much more pleasant to the eye and was bug free... I don't understand why you did that, you should have made a different plugin with the new UI. Very disappointed.
- (2024-06-11) Adam Krpan (any pronoun): The "Right click to rename tab" feature takes a name, but only sets that as the rule name: the tab name is then just called "Rule" with the website title in parentheses.
