Conflictology: Capitol is a social deduction card game of deception and strategy. Playable entirely in your browser as a Chrome extension, this online multiplayer card game lets 2-6 players compete in just 5-15 minutes per round. Set in a dystopian capitol city, players hold secret influence cards and use clever tactics and bold moves to outsmart opponents. The goal is simple: eliminate your rivals and be the last one standing – bluff, challenge, and outmaneuver everyone else to win!

How to Play (Bluffing 101)
Each player has 2 secret role cards. On your turn, you can claim any role’s action – even if you don’t have that card. Bluffing is encouraged! Other players then decide to either let it happen, block it with one of their own roles, or challenge your claim.
Here’s a quick rundown of a turn:
1️⃣ Claim an Action: Announce what action you’re taking.
2️⃣ Others React: Others can do nothing, block with a character of their own, or challenge your claim if they suspect a bluff.
3️⃣ Reveal & Resolve: If someone challenges, cards are revealed. Bluffers who get caught lose a card, but if you were truthful, the challenger loses a card. No challenge? Your action succeeds. Players with no cards left are eliminated, and the last player standing wins!

Getting Started

2. Start Your Video Call & Play: Hop on a Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or any video call with your group, then let the bluffing begin! 😄
3. Create or Join a Game: Click the Conflictology extension icon in your browser and start a new game. You’ll get a unique room code to invite others. Share that code with your friends or teammates so they can enter it and join your game (they’ll need the extension installed as well).
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: Do we need to be on a video call to play?
A: You can play without a call (the game runs entirely in the browser), but playing on a Zoom/Meet/Teams call is highly recommended. Conflictology is much more fun when you can see and hear everyone’s reactions – bluffing is best face-to-face!
