  • (2021-11-16) Star Library 70: As soon as I installed the extension my kid uninstalled it. I don't understand why there is an extension for this when the kids can uninstall it.
  • (2021-05-03) Jimin Lee: I really think that you should add something that warns parents about using this on kids on the older part of the spectrum. I'm 14 years old and this app is extremely frustrating for me. A lot of the times it blocks the wrong things and it takes a while to unblock those sites, which causes a lot of frustration, and on 80% of all Google sites, like if I'm opening someone else's Google Docs or trying to watch a Youtube video, I have to do the ReCaptcha and reload around 7 times, and sometimes even that doesn't work. Imagine you having to go through that multiple times a day. When you're a kid, obviously these things can help you to stay focused, stay away from bad sites, but I definitely think it causes too much inconvenience and stress for a teenager who has to use a computer for everything. It will never teach responsibility, since the parent is forcing "responsibilty". The child will never learn the lesson themselves that screen time can be bad, because they'll be aching for it, they'll want it so bad, and when they finally have the freedom, they're not going to have the responsibility. Please, add something to your page about this issue, and fix the problems I mentioned. This is a big source of my stress and frustration everyday and on top of my other mental issues it gets to be a pretty big deal. I think a lot of parents don't get this and are fine with putting restrictions as long as it keeps their child in check without thinking about the serious consequences especially as the child gets older.
  • (2020-12-07) Taylor Wilhelm: I don't think anyone should use it, but try it if you want. Pros: -Good for restricting everything, especially for challenges. -Last Resort. Cons: -Again, Last Resort, the last thing you ever want is your number 1 priority sites (e.g. Drive; Gmail; Google; etc.) getting BLOCKED. -Time limits make everything worse, setting a stupid time for a prank is good and fun, but setting it as the limit for EVERY SINGLE DAY, is just straight up unfair(sometimes you can't even change it on a different device). -IT CAN BLOCK SITES BY ITSELF!!!! -In my opinion, I hate restrictions all together.(This con was not part of this review) -On the site, it showed a section of a kid's list of app and games, and I am really not happy with the outcome. 3 things, 1 being that NO ONE EVER RESTRICTS APPS THIS MUCH, I understand some apps as not all apps are meant for kids, but blocking YouTube, Netflix, MINECRAFT...WHY...THAT PERSON HAS TO BE STUPID(what other word was there to use.) TO THINK MINECRAFT IS A SOCIAL MEDIA APP/GAME NOT FOR KIDS, IT'S A GAME, RATED E FOR TaylorMinecraftGaming's SAKE...TMG's sake, what..."VIDEO" GAMES, NOT "distracting games". (Sorry for having that one long, and I forgot 2 and 3. | 2: You can't set more then 4 time limits a day. 3: Only 1 hour? What ever happened to "kids freak-out whenever something of theirs went wrong"? Did it just go non-existent? And why not 2 or 4...or 5. At least a reward for waiting 2-4 hours just to be on it for 1 hour...WOW, just to be on it for 1 hour, how sad.) -The final Con. The thing itself is just straight up full-on, PASD, restricts everything, doesn't care who it is, as long as it's restricted, it will not go away...until 10 years after its been put on the system. This is the longest review I've done, the review might seem like it was all "THIS IS EVIL, WHY IS THIS A THING", but the reason why it's 2 stars and not 1 is because the concept of this app/extension is creative. It's not bad, it's not good either, but restrictiveness...meh, I didn't like restrictions in the 1st place.
  • (2020-11-17) Hannah Beale: Mobicip continues to work well and is very easy to install on to our laptops. We do not appear to have faced many challenges with the application, which is great! We prefer to use Mobicip over Netnanny, as the installation and monitoring process is much easier.
  • (2020-09-15) Benjamin Nicholas: As a child, I really liked this. It really helped with keeping me on track, and let my parents be more relaxed. I love how much you can tailor it to suit your needs.
  • (2020-08-27) Avi Friedman: this app is BS!!!!!!!
  • (2020-08-15) Joy L: Works well with Chromebook. Did a good job keeping my daughter safe for the most part. However, with my son who is homeschooled and uses his chromebook to study online it was lacking in the way that you cannot block the playstore. He would then get around it by going on Play store and playing online without downloading instead of studying. Then I moved him to a Macbook air that is very easy to set restrictions with - even without Mobicip. I tried to add mobicip to his Macbook air. It doesn't work on apple products from what I can see. tried everything.
  • (2020-04-03) Reagan Lavallee: i mean..just gimme a little more privacy. this really intrudes on my personal life. im stuck in quarintine and i cant talk to anyone...thanks.
  • (2020-02-18) Mobicip Official: One of the best chromebook parental control options! A great addition to Google's own Family Link app.
  • (2020-02-05) Aubrey Ullian: I cant do a thing! i cant download games or go to any app other then where i work.i hate it and gess what? Sometimes it even blocked my work! Me and my mom have to spend hours fixing it and its the worst app ever! My parents spent a lot of money on it and its so bad! I cant even uninstal the stuipid thing!
  • (2020-01-10) MainorWare Hasbún: A very good alternative to keep control of what children may or may not see on the internet, even works with search keywords, has everything covered, highly recommended.
  • (2020-01-09) Larry Valenzuela: Great parental control software - works like a charm for google chrome books! If you are a parent looking for parental control software that is compatible for your device (windows, macs, google chrome books, kindle, android, and iOS). Mobicip gives parents the flexibility to filter social apps, video apps, mobile apps, web categories, keywords or phrases you wish you restrict, and block specific websites, also provides browsing history and you can customize a screen time to limit your child's screen time, and has built in reporting feature to view activity. In addition, they have a specific button "Blocked all screens, It's Family Time" - nice! Kudos to Mobicip and their team in developing this platform to provide parents the ability to filter web content in protecting children and teenagers from inappropriate content.
  • (2020-01-02) Casey Fair: I loved this app for my daughter's ChromeBook. It was hard to find a parental control app that would even work with a ChromeBook. So, I was beyond happy when I discovered Mobicip. I was able to set time limits for usage each day, limit the websites she has access to, monitor her usage, and enable a feature where she had to ask permission to access particular websites or apps. I highly recommend this app.
  • (2019-07-26) Matt Mowad: Best app and extension for kids and teens. If you want to protect your family, use this product! I am a consultant and public speaker about internet safety and always recommend Mobicip. Very user friendly too!
  • (2019-05-13) John DeLano: Mobicip does a great job of filtering out unacceptable content for my kids. My son is very tech savvy and has been unable to disable mobicip and it contyinues to protect him from himself and the trash on the internet. I have tried other applications but none do as good a job for a reasonable price like Mobicip can. I highly recomment it. Thanks for protecting my kids.
  • (2019-04-23) Jackson Gillespie: it sucks and i docent let us accsess any thing we want too nothing will let us on
  • (2019-04-16) private -_-\: I couldnt rate this one star...
  • (2019-03-12) This is good but just to ask does this work on TOR?
  • (2019-02-22) This is a PARENTAL control app, supposedly to "protect" your children by restricting sites that they would enjoy, this app has no why to set an age, and mobicip has full control over everything that your child sees. Even searching up "hardware" will block you child's internet and cut off usefull sites they need for school, just because there is one inappropriate add.
  • (2019-01-30) Jonny Sperling: This is a great app! Love it so much. It can control everything!!!
  • (2018-12-10) Gary Delly: The extension itself is excellent and works great blocking unwanted content and to keep an eye on screen time.
  • (2018-12-10) Jack Smiths: This was a great tool for my family when our boys were young. I felt the boys were safer (and they WERE safer) using this extension. My boys still felt they had freedom and independence, but we could effectively keep them in safer parts of the internet.
  • (2018-12-10) rashad khan: We used this on our sons’ phone for years. Helps sanitise the Internet.
  • (2018-12-10) perry sane: Blocking video streaming services is really useful. It’s difficult to filter content on such platforms.
  • (2018-12-10) Jade Smithy: So far so good. Very easy to set up to keep our children away from dangerous websites and lower the screen time.
  • (2018-12-10) Christopher M. Russell: Seems to work great. Best I've found so far. Love how you can block all the indecent websites. And track screen time.
  • (2018-11-16) Andie Amy: Best Parental Control app i have seen till date, its really amazing.
  • (2018-11-13) Dawn Wolf: This is one of the best parental control apps that I have found! I can't recommend it enough. Great for parents of toddlers through middle school. So easy and great to be able to control PC, Mac, Chromebook, Kindle, IOS and Android all in one dashboard. The scary fact is that kids are exposed to alot of stuff and we as parents must protect them. I saw a statistic that average age that kids are exposed to porn is 8 years old! This tool is excellent and comprehensive in that it filters and monitors.
  • (2018-11-12) Rad 2K: Best parental control product I've seen so far for managing chromebooks. Thank you
  • (2018-10-31) Prithiv Sassisegarane: Love the screen time management feature. Filtering is as good as ever and now available on all browsers. Great job!
  • (2018-10-04) Doesnt work, now I cant remove it... Worst... Can I give it a zero?
  • (2018-09-30) eme field: So it was great for the first couple months of use. Then I disabled it, and everything was still fine. Then when I re-enabled it, it didn't pop up as the mobicip thing, it said "Privacy error" so I believe they are trying to hack me or steal my info. They also took away my internet access until I disabled again.I am never enabling it again.
  • (2018-01-30) Bill Sulzen: I really like the implementation and the interface. The Chromebook support is pretty nice. But wow is it SLOW!!! The only thing slower is their tech support! I'm in the trial period and if I don't hear from them soon I will not be paying for this product.
  • (2017-09-26) Jill Kahrimanian: I would totally give Mobicip 5 stars except for one tiny problem we had. Whenever my daughter would try to get on computers at school it would interfere with the school network and cause problems for her. The computer teacher was able to find a way around it, but it did cause a slight inconvenience. Other than that, this service was perfect for my family. Easy to manage filters from the app on my phone, and easy to monitor from there too. Loved the detailed reports. Not to mention excellent customer service!!
  • (2017-08-12) The Heffalumps: Mobicip is one of the few parental applications that claim to work on Chromebooks; unfortunately, its functionality is very limited: 1. The time limits function only establishes the time period on which the device can be used, not the number of hours. Other apps like Qustodio allows you to set up a number of hours of total screen time (on all devices) in a given time period; for example your child can use technology from noon to 8 pm, but only to up to two hours. 2. The control, just as it is, is limited to browsing the internet, so even when the "limits" are reached, the child can still use apps. A better functionality can be achieved with a good router, just turn off the internet after 8 and before noon (for example) and the same effect is achieved. 3. No easy way is provided to cancel the subscription, an email has to be sent requesting that, and even tough they replied quickly in my case (hence the two stars, not one) it's still not ideal. Since the app did not fulfill my needs on chromebook, I did not test on other systems, but still I can't recommend Mobicip.
  • (2017-06-11) Daniel Zelin: I don't like it very much, but it's moderate for superyoung people on the interwebs. gimme back my 40 wasted dollars.
  • (2017-05-18) Silk Spawner: This, sucked ! I tried to use it on my chromebook, because my mum wanted it on, and it had the continue button when trying to apply a filter not shaded in and we couldn't click it. You stole my Mum's $40 !!! And if you hide the app all you have to do is click the 3 dots in the top right corner of the Chrome app.
